I've passed by this spot in the neighborhood a few times and loved the vibe from the lush greenery inside. Plus, they have a permanent outdoor dining area with heaters during the chilly nights too. This was perfect as I had my pup with me, so we were able to dine outside. Between the two of us, we ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana ($16), Spaghetti Alla Carbonara ($24), and Brasato ($16). Everything came out at once and was presented beautifully. I'm a sucker for a carbonara, so this was delicious and was swirled into perfect ball. It was a pretty small dish though, so wish it was bigger. The dish that really surprised me was the eggplant, which had a nice cheesy crust. Definitely would get this again, perfect whether you're vegetarian or not. The brasato was just ok though. There was something missing in the panini and there was too much bread to meat ratio. Overall, solid eatery along Smith Street with a nice atmosphere.

First time here and will definitely come back. The pizza is unique in that the crust is this fried crunch pastry dough. The seafood pasta with breadcrumbs was exactly what I was craving. I'm glad I did not pass on dessert because oh my! The salted caramel ice cream with the warm chocolate cake was to die for! The restaurant is cute and cozy and great for families, a date, catching up with a friend. The service was great!

First things first...FOOD! The food is amazing. Very creative and delicious. I have had almost everything on the menu and have not had a bad dish yet. My favorite is the Lasagna Bolognese. I will often ask for the Bolognese on spaghetti when I go, and they are always accommodating. It is some of the best bolognese I have ever had. The Hanger Steak is also always delicious. The portions are perfect. And now they are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!!! The owners are always present and very in tune with the neighborhood and its people. This is a real neighborhood restaurant. They support all the local businesses and charities. It is admirable. The downstairs is set up for parties and private events. But book ahead because they book fast. So worth it. The decor and ambiance are perfecto! Beautiful plants and great lighting. And when the weather gets nice, the open-air seating and outdoor patio are so inviting. Go on a Saturday night and sit at the bar and watch a great bartender at work! The staff is friendly and remains the same, which speaks a lot about a restaurant retaining its personnel.

Hands down my favorite place in the neighborhood. Their pasta can’t be beat anywhere in the city. Fun vibe. Good service. Amazing yet reasonable wine list. Absolutely LOVE it. The owners are pretty cool too. GODietary restrictions: Just let them know and they should be able to assist with most dietary needsKid-friendliness: Kids are welcome and celebrated.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access.

My favorite place in the neighborhood. Amazing handmade pasta. Simply the BEST spaghetti in NYC. Seriously. Service is outstanding. Sit at the bar on Saturday night and witness one of the best bartenders in the city. The vibe is inviting and festive. You can try to walk in but get a reservation if you can. The owners are a treat and always present. I highly recommend this place for visitors or locals alike. Its located in one of the coolest neighborhoods in Brooklyn( Cobble Hill/Carrol Garden) and well worth the trip. A block from the F. GO.

Sociale is a great place for brunch/dinner/drinks. Prices are fair and food is delicious. They have a variety of options to please everyone. I got the Hanger Steak and can recommend. The complimentary table bread is fantabulous as well.

Came here recently on a date night with my partner and Sociale was a terrible choice on our part. Firstly, the bread was thin and cold when it arrived. I had asked the waiter if they had any garlic bread, and instead of just saying no, they brought out this fried bread(?) I digress. The pasta and risotto was over cooked. The branzino and brussels were tasty, I will say that. But after everything else, I was left disappointed. Frankly, we would have had a better time at an Olive Garden.

Alright! So this is where we decided to go for Valentine’s Day and because I don’t want to start my review just negative, let’s begin with the positives:- the vibe inside is great for a date night of any kind- the staff was very nice and kind- the eggplant Parmesan was stellar, though small as it’s only available as a starter- one of the best espresso martinis I’ve ever hadOk so let’s move on to the negatives:- save for the eggplant parm the food was awful. We ordered 4 different food items (oysters, focaccia (Bianca), eggplant parm, and their spinach tagliatelle scallop special)- the oysters had a couple of truly terrible tasting ones in there and the mignonette was essentially just either balsamic or malt vinegar- the focaccia was terrible. $5 for the picture attached to this review is hilarious- the spinach tagliatelle was really rough. So so so bland, the scallops were overcooked and very rubbery, and there was truly just no real taste to the dish- some of the slowest service I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Though the staff was very nice, it took 15 minutes to get bread, and later 15-20 minutes to get a drink- I ordered a whiskey ginger and the ginger ale was fully, fully flat with no acknowledgment as to suchI don’t think I’d recommend or return, which is a shame because this restaurant could be great if some things changed.

I normally like what I order at this restaurant. But the last time I was there, the chicken paillard was so garlicky that I could barely eat half of the serving.

Nice place on court street. Best thing on the menu was the Margarita Piccante. Could have drank them one after another so tasty and spicy. It's Italian food and I'm picky so it's tough to get a 5 star rating from me on Italian food.

A dim, cozy restaurant to enjoy great food. The servers are very good, as are the drinks and food, but it's not a quick spot to grab a bite. It was roughly 1:00-1:15 before entrees came out but the food was delicious and worth the wait with a cocktail.

Absolutely amazing food. The lasagne was classic and unique at the same time. Not sure how. Super staff. Great ambiance. Can’t wait to go back.
