Sonia’s Crab and Finn BK passed the test. They are officially approved by me the @chickentendercritic. The tenders were cooked to perfection. Crispy and crunchy on the outside. Soft and juicy on the inside. Paired with Sonia’s honey bbq, they were out of this world. I am typically a honey mustard guy, but the honey bbq was a close match in deliciousness. It’s a perfect spot for an affordable lunch because the tenders are part of Sonia’s daily lunch specials. Since Sonia’s is known for their specialty in a variety of seafood, I had to try their fish as well (TIP: Fridays are $6 fish sandwiches). Their secret fried recipe was so scrumptious and like nothing I ever had before. So much flavor and lightness to each bite, I for sure recommend trying it. I washed all this yummy food with Sonia’s very own freshly made juice. SO REFRESHING. I would stop in just for their juice. I had the juice called What’s Up Doc (Apple, Carrots, Ginger, and Celery). Thank you so much Sonia’s for such an amazing first experience! I’ll for sure be back!

This is place is few doors away from my Wednesday's job. But, today, their acronym 's meaning for 'Wednesday" outside struck me❤️ It is very uplifting and informative ? Food was not enjoyable. Could have been an off day but I was disappointed after reading so many good reviews about this place. Rasta pasta with shrimp was too spicy to enjoy. Catfish was overly breaded and I had crumbled coarse cornmeal all over my table. Yams had a weird tangy taste and the Mac and cheese was salty like it was from a box. I was hoping for a good meal and received less than. I gave an extra star cause the food did come hot. I will wait a while but I'm not confident in them enough to try them again right away.

I was walking down the street with a few coworkers for lunch about 2 weeks ago. Although, the initial plan was to eat elsewhere, we spotted this and decided to order from here. One coworker had the Salmon, Macaroni and Cheese and Yams. She said it was good and would definitely return. I had the Rasta Pasta with Chicken, which was made fresh and didn’t disappoint at all. The last coworker had Grilled Butter Shrimp, Collards and Macaroni and Cheese and was pleased as well... Fast forward about a week afterwards, I decided to visit the place again for Dinner and once again ordered the Rasta Pasta with Chicken. I was tempted to try the Salmon for myself, as it sounded delicious with the pineapple sauce, but I decided to go the more familiar route. Once again, the meal was not a disappointment at all. I almost felt like I couldn’t finish the meal(good portion of food), but was able to. The customer service here both times has also been wonderful. During the second trip I was able to chat with the owner and while waiting for my food listened to some good catchy tunes while waiting inside of the restaurant. Last part is the dessert, I had the pleasure of trying an Apple and Cinnamon Pudding type of dish. I happen to be a Cinnamon fanatic, so based off of that alone, I was optimistic about the dessert. This too, didn’t disappoint at all. I say all of that to say that I will definitely be returning and encourage others to do the same as well. Good food and good customer service. You can’t go wrong!

I live around the corner and I’m so happy I just found this place! I always go to Chris’s on the corner which is great, but this was better. I got the crab cakes which were so fresh and flavorful. Cornbread is sweet and fluffy! I have no complaints. The owner was also there and very kind and attentive. I’ll be back!

I have lived in Brooklyn 8 years and their Rasta pasta is absolutely the best and the signature Sonia sauce is amazing!!!

After hearing about the opening of this place, I had it on my list of places to try, being a foodie. But also having moved out of Bedford-Stuyvesant, to Prospect Park South, it isn't close to me, so it took sometime to finally make it by there. I don't write many reviews, as I know good food, great food, and exceptional food, and it is hard to impress me.I'm writing one now. I went by last weekend, and ordered two meals, as I wanted to get a broader perspective on the food, to decide if making the trek or ordering via Uber Eats or Seamless was worth it. I ordered the crab cakes, collard greens and yams, cat fish, fried shrimp, mac and cheese, and sweet potato fries.Catfish: EXCELLENT. If you like Catfish, you will not be disappointed.Crab cakes: ALSO excellent. And it is hard to impress my palette in this regard, I have had some of the best in the country.Mac and cheese: yummy. I have had cheesier, but theirs is worth it.Collards: has some kick to it, spicy is not my deal, but I have a ton of foodie friends who love a little to a lot of kick in their food. You cannot go wrong here!The fried shrimp: AMAZING. Super delicious.The sweet potato fries were ok.This place is a 9 out of 10, and worth the trip!!

The third star is a pity star because I don't wanna be that harsh.-> I came in and order to food like catfish 2 days ago and the employee with blond and brown hair was so sweet and kind however when I got my food I took it home and noticed there was gray hair inside my food and the breading on the catfish was too hard. Whoever is cooking up there needs to do better and also the men around there are pervs the only one I liked are the three employees everyone else is weird except for the bald guy he's pretty chill.

I ordered from here on ubereats. my food was sitting there for 40 minutes according to the employee and my food arrived brick cold which I paid almost 30 dollars for. they also forgot to put utensils and this is not the first time they forgot to put utensils and napkins either. the food here is really good but thats not enough for me to order from them again.

First of all the service is excellent. Was served personally by the owner Richard. The only thing better than the service was the food. Had the crab cakes and shrimp rasta pasta. Both amazing. Cant wait to come back

The food is B TO THE O TO THE M TO THE B, BOMB I tell you! Today I had ordered chicken tenders with fries , fried shrimp , Mac and cheese , coconut rice and red velvet cake . Ladies and gentlemen , let me tell you . THAT FRIED SHRIMP WAS HITTIN, the Mac and cheese is so cheesy . I an’t never had Mac and cheese that was that cheesy . Then the red velvet cake .. LAWD HAVE MERCY . See, Ion like cake like that but I was just like “let me go head and try it” AND ITS WORTH EVERY SINGLE PENNY!!!! It literally melts in your mouth. It’s not that hard cake that you get at some fancy restaurant. It’s soft , with the just right amount of cake and cream . Go head and get y’all some good food?.

Love Crab so I had to try this place. I had the crabcakes with the Sonja Sauce! Amazing Portion Size and the Sonja Sauce is delicious! THE COLLARD GREENS ARE FIRE!!!!!!!! So so good. There's a kick of heat and the flavor is there! Customer Service means a lot and they do it right. Definitely will be back for the crab legs.

This spot is 5 star quality seafood/soul food in brooklyn. Everything is good, all of the anchored entree’s, all of the fried options, mac n cheese super cheesy and to top it off a banana pudding that is out of this world!! Great owner and awesome service and courtesy every time. I order from here weekly, its part of the rotation now.
