The atmosphere is great! The ingredients are very fresh! It can be seen that the teacher is very professional! The price is not expensive and is reasonable! Will go again next time??????

Chef Joe's menu was delicious. I don't usually enjoy traditional style omakase but I was happily convinced otherwise this time around. Definitely a more unique menu compared to another traditional style, Mido Omakase Rooman, yet not as traditional as Sushi Uesgui at Industry City. My boyfriend and I plan on returning.
The staff was attentive and it seemed like they were still in training - nothing wrong with that to me, we are all always learning.

Beautiful service, chef was very educational which we loved. Answering questions, talking about each dish. We came for my wife’s birthday and were blown away by the quality of everything: fresh fish, amazing rice.

Excellent quality and value (go on an empty stomach!). Shrimp was notably fresh, the wagyu had excellent marbling, and the negitoro was the best negitoro I have ever eaten. Servers are polite and attentive. The bathroom is bougie. Wonderful dining experience.

The one star service is for the sushi chef. If I could I would give zero star!!
The fish was incredibly fresh, and the waitress was attentive and friendly. The cost is reasonable for the unlimited add-ons. However, I think they should adjust the tipping policy to apply before tax, rather than after.
My only complaint is about the sushi chef. He’s an older Japanese or Korean chef, though I don’t know his name. He was very rude to the waitress, yelling at her at least three times in front of the counter and in front of us, which made us feel very uncomfortable. I can’t stand seeing a man yell at a woman who did nothing wrong.
Additionally, he didn’t ask if we liked wasabi, and even though two guests told him they preferred less wasabi, he only accommodated that for the first two rounds and then forgot for the rest. He also messed up the add-on orders. After placing the wrong sushi on a guest’s plate, instead of making new ones, he blamed the waitress (even though it was clear he hadn’t read the order correctly) and just moved the sushi to another guest’s plate. This raises hygiene concerns, especially in a higher-class omakase restaurant.
What made things worse was that he barely communicated with us, which is unusual for an omakase chef. Typically, the chef engages with the guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere, but he made us feel uncomfortable and even scared to talk to him. To top it off, he was rude when he told me I couldn’t take pictures of the sushi.
All other aspects of the experience were good, and I would consider going back, but I would definitely request not to sit with this chef!
I actually complained to the owner and hope he will take steps to rectify the situation.

Awkward location for an Omakase. Located behind a Popeyes and in a mall-like building. Decor is very nice, almost like the omakases you’d see in Japan, however the location and the food does not match the decors.
As of October 2024, they’re offering a $120 course with “unlimited” yet limited options add-ons, AYCE if you will but not really. The appetizers were visibly appealing but it was just that. Nothing about the sushi was special, almost thoughtless and tasteless. The only catch would be their AYCE option, but you almost don’t want much more after a disappointing meal.
For the price, you could really go to some cheaper and affordable options in the area or actually spend a bit more for an actual Omakase experience in the city. Would not come back or recommend.

From the moment you step through the big wooden door you’re transported to an elegant modern set up with a welcoming greeting. Beautiful and clean layout inside followed with amazing service and exquisite/fresh food. Jeff was simply amazing and talented with every dish throughout our course. Will make the three hour drive from ri again just to have dinner there, highly recommend!

Restaurantji Recommends
I've been getting nigiri from Jeff since the pandemic and was so happy to see him open an actual restaurant. This location is fantastic too given that there isn't an omakase restaurant in the neighborhood. The fish is fresh and the rice is perfectly seasoned. Everyone is extremely welcoming and pfovide fantastic service. Definitely recommend you to come! Whether it's date night, anniversary, or even a Friday night - you won't regret it!

Here's the order with ratings
1. Seared skipjack tuna with ponzu sauce (4/5) sauce was nice, but I'm not a big fan of this type of tuna
2. House grilled Unagi with pickled eggplant (3/5) grilled too long. The bottom was crunch but tough to break apart, too
3. Age yellowtail belly with shiso oil and fish roe (4.5/5) refreshing
4. Steamed egg with crab and caviar (4/5) very home dish
5. Fluke (hiramae) (3/5) fish fresh but rice on colder side and hard:(
6. Aged arctic char (8 weeks) (4.8/5) very "bouncy", rice correct temperature
7. shima aji (white trevally) (4/5) very fresh
8. Ahi Tuna (3.5/5) nice bite to it
9. Sea perch (4.5/5) is very sweet and fresh
10. Raw shrimp (3.5/5) has a bitter after taste for me
11. Miso black cod with truffle rice (3.5/5), not a rice girl, but the fish is very fresh and well balanced with the whole dish. Rice is subtly sweet, too
12. Red snapper (4.5/5) very fresh, Wasabi a tad too much on mine
13. Fatty tuna (4.8/5) perfectly torched, melt in your mouth
14. Japanese horse mackerel (aji) (2/5) not a fan, but very fresh and bouncy. It's one of my least fav types of fish
15. Scallop with lemon/lime zest (4.9/5) very sweet. It's definitely a fav on my books
16. Wagyu (5/5) perfectly torched and seasoned with a little salt
17. Hokkaido uni with ikura (5/5) sea otter approved. Good balance of sweet uni and savory ikura
18. Matcha ice cream with chocolate cake gold flakes. (4/5) I love the ice cream but not a chocolate fan. It felt overpowering to end with chocolate imo. Rather, opt for a sorbet or something summery for the summer season.
One of the wait staff had to yawn, and she walked towards the back to do it ?. Very polite and talk about great etiquette.
Customer service 5/5 makes sure tea and pickled ginger are refilled constantly. I recommend the ambiance and experience. Is the food worth the 160/pp for me? Definitely a no.
