This review is a longtime coming. I love this place for so many reasons. 5 stars, easily.
I've been to St. Mazie for casual drinks with the girls, dinner with a group of friends, and everything in between.
The food is excellent (TRY THE VEGGIE BURGER!!), cocktails are delicious, and the cozy, moodily-lit atmosphere is usually accompanied with live music— the cherry on top.
In the *very* off chance that the ball is dropped on something, management goes above and beyond to make it right. I truly have not experienced A+ customer service at a restaurant like this in years. Every visit I am genuinely impressed.
NOTE: it can get loud on evenings and weekends but they have a cute back patio.
Make the reservation for a date, catch-up, or cool place to bring loved ones visiting from out of town. St. Mazie's is a homerun.
My favorite jazz lounge!!
Cozy spot, a little noisy, food was great
We had an unforgettable evening at the St. Mazie Bar. As soon as we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the staff. The cocktails and dishes were absolutely delicious, but the real highlight of the show was undoubtedly the live jazz concert. The atmosphere is totally timeless, in perfect harmony with the vintage charm of the place — you would have thought you were in another century!
Of course, the price of the concert is $15 per person, but honestly, it is well worth it as the experience is magical. If you are passing through New York, we 1000% recommend this address for a memorable evening!
The food was just okay. However the oyster happy hour deal is good and worth it. The ambiance was nice and the live music was great! Would come back just for the drinks and music.
Not what it used to be. Food was average. Music was good. Reservation process a little annoying.
Great drinks and such an amazing atmosphere!
Really great jazz! Staff was super good, food was amazing. Would definitely go back!

As you can see in the video Bartender Paco is extremely talented. Makes very inventive drinks. The vibe upstairs and downstairs are impeccable. Upstairs gypsy jazz and downstairs is slow music perfect for date night!
Service is non existent. Charged an extra $4 for a splash of baileys in an espresso martini. Avoid
Nice and cozy space for live jazz. The wait staff is very attentive
Eclectic bands, chill atmosphere, delightful food
Though the ambiance is quite nice, and the live music intimate and lovely, I was left highly disappointed by the food. I'm a New Yorker, so I'm used to high prices. But I also like something that's priced high to be of quality. Simply put, the food was not good. We ordered the potatoes and they were severely dry and under seasoned (honestly no seasoning. Not even salt). The cauliflower too was not seasoned and came with VERY little sauce on the side. For the main we split the pancetta and it was mostly burned (!!) and ALSO lacked seasoning. I also ordered a coke to drink and it wasn't even filled to the top.
Though I can get past the small detail of my drink being only 3/4 filled, I can't get past the bad food. If I'm PAYING to eat, I want to be able to both eat and enjoy the food I'm eating. Sadly, I experienced neither. I walked out hungry even though I had dropped $$$ on a meal.
The city has so many quality jazz bars to offer, with equal musical talent to showcase, as well as ambiance and vibes. I'm sad to say I'm disappointed by this space, because I was excited to go here. But alas.
If the menu was improved and the quality of the food was edible + appropriate for the cost, I would come back. But otherwise, I felt price gauged from the start and that also took away from the experience.
