I’ve visited this shop many times. Love their veggie patties and their currant rolls. The staff has always been pleasant with me. Would recommend them for catering and for their baked goods.

Today 11/11/24, just bought two slices of cake- a carrot cake and strawberry filled cake. Both pieces were old and clearly not freshly made. The carrot cake was dry and hard. Took one bite and threw it away. The strawberry filled cake smelled moldy. DO NOT BUY CAKES HERE! Shame on you Steph’s Cake Shop for selling these to the public. After a day on your shelf, cakes should be discarded. These cakes were obviously several days old.

I’m really upset with my daughter and lil sister birthday cake that’s wat I wanted but then this wat I got The cake was supposed to be found it but it was icing there is no color palette and The paint brush was too thick it was leaning to the side my daughter told everyone that she made the cake I deserve something back for $396 with my ebt the cake I got is not worth that much

BEWARE! I Ordered 4 items(pound cake, pone, currant roll) from this place and all four were horrible. Everything was ice cold. Why are baked goods ice cold?I ordered pone and received pudding. There is a difference. A wast of money. I should have checked the reviews prior to ordering. This place should be shut down for failure to serve fresh food.

I got a lentil patty and beef patty from here on my home for myself and my wife since I don’t eat meat and she does. She described the beef patty as mediocre at best and I honestly had high hopes for the lentil patty. This was shattered however as my teeth almost were. The patty was ROCK HARD and the lentils even worse and had no seasoning. The lentils looked as though I could start a fire with them so dry and hard. I was astonished at the quality and as place that had non meat options I was so absolutely disappointed. I can understand being slow and being later in the evening but this complete lack of quality makes me question ever returning.

Terribly disappointed my second time visiting! The doubles were cold, disgusting, and unseasoned. I ordered 3 cakes and like the review before me, the strawberry cake had mold. Do not order it. Service was alright but the atmosphere was not great. Did not look fully clean the longer I waited the more I realized the cleanliness was not up to par but I had already made my order . I wish I just left…..
This is why it’s so important to look at the reviews before buying something. After work I decide to get a slice of cake. I got home and look what I found. Mold . I called and nobody answered. I knew I should’ve just went to mandeville for my cake. I knew it was going to taste bad when I got there it was empty and had my waiting for the owner to come out because the old lady couldn’t touch the register. And on top of that I gave a $5 tip!!!

I ordered over $50 worth of food on Christmas Day(that’s what I get for being lazy). The stew fish was more like steam fish that was lacking seasoning and it was dry, the rice and peas was tasteless.I also ordered boneless chicken roti which was also tasteless and the chicken was tough. Sweet potato pone(my favorite) was so disgusting that I threw it away. I will never spend my money at this establishment again. But they did call me to inform me that they didn’t have any oil down, which now I’m happy that they didn’t because I know I would’ve been disappointed with that too.
