If you are in the area you should make a stop. A good price-quality ratio, I got the 4 inch pie for $6, which I ordered through a window and went to eat by the benches outside. Luis Valentine Jr Pier is right around the corner to eat your pie and enjoy the views of statue of liberty.
The pie is exactly how it's supposed to be: the key lime filling is refreshing and well-balanced, with just the right amount of sweetness; the crust is crisp and buttery.

Dropped by for a 4 inch pie and a blonde swingle and both were super yummy. Definitely not cheap, but the quality/yumminess was more than worth the price in my opinion. Line was pretty long on the day I was there (guessing that's not uncommon), but the people working there moved through it very efficiently.

Overrated, sadly. I love key lime pie and have ordered it in dozens of places. This bakery has a uniquely soft crust but the pie is not as good as I've had elsewhere, and isn't served with whipped cream.

Kid-friendliness: The key lime pie is tart and most kids won't like it. The chocolate covered pie has a similar challenge with kids as it's dark chocolate and most kids won't like it.
