I'm the co-founder of the Art of Brooklyn Film Festival (aobff.org). Our nonprofit has held screenings at Stuart since 2023 and it quickly became one of our favorite venues. It's a fantastic indie theater, the professional staff is always a pleasure to deal with, and filmmakers and audiences love it. It's a true community space that values independent art, which is pretty rare these days.
I LOVE this movie theater. It’s a nice, intimate, one screen theater. The staff are incredibly friendly. I’ve been here for several movies but recently I organized a group trip to see Sinners. Everyone in my group was extremely charmed by the venue and happily surprised by the very reasonable prices.
Most recently, I received a flat tire on my way to see the new Mission Impossible and I missed the showing. They graciously accommodated me for another showing. I can’t wait for them to open the one in Brownsville which would be even closer to me! 💜
This was an amazing venue for hosting a kid's birthday party. The staff was so friendly and helpful.
We had a lot of fun filming at Stuart Cinema & Cafe! They're super supportive of indie filmmakers. We appreciate them for allowing us to film at the cafe. Andre was a great host. The space was perfect for what we needed. Thank you!!
Great collaborator for a community screening. We had the space for three hours and hosted a screening, a panel discussion, and a small performance. It was incredibly impactful thanks to the team!
This place is definitely a hidden gem. Making this post was bittersweet for me. While I love the privacy and intimacy of this place, more people need to know about it. It's always clean. The staff is great. The chicken tenders are ON POINT, and depending on the movie time, you can get a free shot or cup of coffee. WOMEN AND MINORITY OWNED! Winning all around.
The experience at Stuart Cinema & Cafe was truly top-notch! From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome. The theater itself is clean, well-maintained, and has a great sound system. The seats are comfortable, and the screen is large and vibrant. I highly recommend this theater for a great movie-going experience!
The staff at Stuart Cinema were absolutely great! They hosted a screening we held there and provided all logistical coordination in preparation, and hands on support day of. The space is so nice, has a wide variety of food/snack options and the theatre room itself is comfortable, spacious and clean. Can't recommend this place enough! We were all thrilled with the whole experience. TYSM Stuart Cinema and Cafe!
Lamont was fantastic. I felt at home at that theater. Thank you Stuart Cinema & Cafe for a wonderful experience.
Perfect atmosphere for a viewing of up to 50 people! Theater is well maintained and offers a wide range of snacks and drinks. Wonderful management and lovely location to have dinner and drinks before or after any showing!
Restaurantji Recommends
I had no idea this place existed. Really nice theater and lots of snack options to purchase. I am so glad to see how they support local artists.
small local theater fits about 50 or less, has a lil cafe inside, 1 bathroom. nothing super fancy or modern seats but went for free screening.staff was nice
Omg is a nice place to see a movie ? ? about family time
Great owners, and such great service! It’s a fun spot to do something with your friends and family, and a chill moment for a vacation.
Lovely local theater, with a variety of food and drink options, including coquito. I think the theater is better suited for Indie films, and not blockbusters. We went to see a Quiet Place and the sound during the speaking parts was sub par. Its hard to eat actual food during the movie, for that reason I wouldnt recommend having more than the regular movie fare... ie popcorn and/or nachos, and a drink.
I would return, for specific films, and I would recommend.
