First of all, this restaurant is pretty pricey for average food. We purchased purse drinks for $30+ and $40+ containing "house liquor." They tack on an automatic hefty 18% gratuity, even for parties of 2. And on top of that, they charge you more money if you pay with a card as opposed to cash. So for a party of 2, I spent almost $170 for 2 stewed chicken dinners & 2 purse drinks. I think that's a bit much!
Food was excellent. Loved shrimp tacos on taco Tuesday.(actually all the tacos are delish). Had the oxtails with white rice, salmon w/yellow rice, jerk wings and the mango slaw is amazing.
First time at sugar'd and it was excellent from the drinks to the appetizer was a hit i ordered two drinks of tamarind spicy margaritas our server and bartender INDIAN MARLON WAS GREAT WE ALSO HAD THE GRILLED SHRIMP AND SALMON ,COCONUT RICE ,GARLIC MASH ,JAMBALASI DOUBLE SURF APPA WERE GRILLED SUGARCANE SHRIMP SWEET PLANTATIAN 10/10 ?
