This is simply one of the best restaurants in Brooklyn. Its hidden gems are the deserts. the Banana Fosters is the one.
I try to be fair in my reviews, but Sunday in Brooklyn really was a disappointment. For one thing, the heat did not seem to be working and the windowed space was very drafty. We had to eat with our winter coats on. As for the food, we ordered cheese fondue to start, and it came out luke warm and thick. The candle that was used (instead of an actual sterno) did nothing to keep the cheese melted. My wife's salad was drowning in dressing. My drink was almost entirely ice, despite being very pricey. The only positive was our server, who was charming and tried his best. The people seated at the table next to us had the same reaction as we did (dissatisfied). I had read glowing reviews before opting to try this restaurant, and reading them over again now I realize that almost all of them were in praise of the establishment's brunch offerings. Perhaps daytimes are better?
Great service. We were running late and when we called to let them know they were very accommodating. When we arrived they were quick to get us seated. It was very cute inside, decorated for the holidays. The server was awesome, was great with the kids and the food came out quick. We ordered a pancake to share, the grain bowl, breakfast plate, kids burger.
Food was very good. There was a very festive atmosphere and friendly staff. Very cozy, like making it up to the north pole for dinner with Santa.
Me encanta Sunday in Brooklyn.
My mom had the Caesar’s Salad with grilled chicken, really good dressing and the chicken was cooked to perfection. I had the pita with hummus, and the hummus was incredibly good. I didn’t expect the Hummus to be one of the bests I’ve ever had, would absolutely recommend Sunday in Brooklyn.

If I had to describe Sunday in Brooklyn in 2 words it would be “quiet luxury”. This place was such a gem to find as a tourist looking for a breakfast/brunch option that wasn’t in the city. We spent the morning in Brooklyn and absolutely loved it. Definitely worth making a reservation. This was one of the most detail oriented restaurant experience I’ve ever had. We were celebrating my sister’s birthday and upon arrival they had a birthday card for her, and had the cutest candle set up with a cinnamon roll after we ordered. We got the breakfast sandwich, the scramble plate (can’t remember the exact name) and the honey cheddar biscuit (which we unanimously agreed was the best biscuit we’ve ever had and almost asked about shipping to Ohio, lol) and multiple specialty beverages. Even the bill came in a cute block with a plant stem. We didn’t even care how much it was because it was so cute, haha. For an experience breakfast as a foodie, can’t recommend enough.

We are here the other night for dinner and it was one of our favorite meals on our vacation to London from the US! The spinach dip and the lamb meatballs are a MUST. Our drinks were also great as well.

I’ve been to Sunday in Brooklyn many times for both brunch and dinner. The service can be a bit up-and-down...we’ve even had a dish come out with a hair in it once; and the host stand isn’t always the warmest. That said, the brunch is definitely my favorite, even though it gets very busy. Their winter onion soup is a must during fall season, and most of the brunch menu is consistently delicious.

Great breakfast spot - loved the Egg & Cheese sandwich (I recommend you add extra sausage to it) and the smashed avocado on toast.
