Wow! That was a surprise. Best sushi in the neighborhood by far....
Came for a weekend lunch and got rolls, sushi and sashimi and all were out of this world.
Their tuna is butter...

Sushi Lin was fantastic for some delicious sushi and appetizers. The fish was fresh and flavorful, and the karaage was crispy with a perfect sauce. I’m looking forward to going back to try their omakase and hand rolls. The service was very friendly and attentive!

Great food. Service was ok, they were not busy, so they could have been more attentive and didn't notice empty drinks that needed refill, and didn't offer napkins or additional silverware. Had to wait on everything and ask multiple times. Did the omakase for 3 people. Everyone at the table could not understand what was coming out and not because of the accent, the waiter kept speaking very low. And when we asked him to repeat, we all leaned in and held our ear out to hear better and that didn't work. They were very conscious of dietary restrictions and accommodated very nicely for no shellfish. The restaurant is very simply designed. The food was outstanding and clearly the highlight of the visit and why you go here. Fresh ingredients and great flavors.

This is definitely one of my favorite sushi spots across NYC. Their omakase is so special, particularly the salmon with broiled tomato. They have great sake at great prices and everyone who works there is so nice. Highly highly recommend.

Loved the omakase experience here.
We were short on time so only ordered their sushi omakase. At the end of the meal, I wished we got the full omakase experience.
I loved every single bite and everything about this place. The service was excellent. They even accommodated our request to add the omakase sashimi at the end - the sashimi comes in a different omakase set but one of friends asked if we could add it at the end (because the food was THAT good).
The price was very reasonable for the arts of the craft and the taste of the food you get. If I live in the area, I would 110% make this spot my go-to sushi place.

Sushi spots are generally overpriced around NYC, but this one was a bit surprisingly overpriced, offering one piece of sushi for $12+?
Was highly unreasonable - nonetheless, after ordering 6 dishes, we tipped around 15% - the waitress comes back and lets us know that we didn’t tip them enough. So we add some more tips and she returns our money. Soon, as we walked 100 m+ after leaving the store, they send one of their waiters after us asking us to come back and pay tips. We are confused but it turns out that after the second time, she simply returned our change and did not take tips. Anyways, in this case, I am very humiliated and frustrated and I give them their share of tips.
I have never encountered such frugal, cheap service in my life. If someone has made a mistake in collecting tips, just let them be. Having people chase you down for tips is so cheap and embarrassing? Negative experience and I would not come back here again.

Wow I am incredibly impressed. Figured this would just be a neighborhood sushi spot but it’s so much better than that.
The omakase is actually really, REALLY good, like… easily rivals sushi of Gari. And at such an affordable price! I’d pay way more for fish this fresh.
I kind of hope no one finds out about this spot (though you should check it out).

Sushi Lin is an amazing place for omakase sushi. The moment you walk in, the cozy vibe and friendly staff make you feel at home. The team of chefs prepares each dish with incredible skill, using the freshest ingredients. One standout is the tuna with fried tomato—an unexpected yet delightful combination that bursts with flavor. Every bite is delicious, with flavors that really stand out. The presentation of the sushi is beautiful, almost like art. Sushi Lin isn’t just a meal; it’s a wonderful experience that you'll remember and want to come back to.
