This was my favorite sushi place in Brooklyn. I have so many great memories going here, and I hope it can open back up! Amazing food, and the miso soup, and special rolls were the best. Especially the spicy mayo!

Ridiculous prices. And terrible delivery fee.

Arashi got very close in quality to what Sushiyama had. Delivery has improved as the old delivery guy is gone. Recently, the only complain I have with this place is their White Tuna. We do know that it is not tuna and we do like it when it is fresh. But, WTF, several times as sashimi and on White River Roll, white tuna is pickled. Obviously, it implies that it is not fresh, the taste is disgusting and we have to throw it out. So, you do not have it fresh - fine just tell me you do not have White Tuna at all, I'm ok with that.

I was hungry for sushi and hot miso soup after holiday shopping in this cold weather. I was scared after reading the review here. However, I give it a try since I saw key food is near by. The roll I ordered is surprisingly good. It is not like what I read from here. I guess they switch sushi chef again?? Too awkward to ask.

*Update: quality control is suspect. Previous owners always presented high quality & FRESH sushi. This sushi doesn’t taste nearly the same and here’s my main gripe: experienced the worst stomach pain in the world. Although staff is nice and accommodating the food is no bueno. Not going back! Sorry.

With the new owners quality has reduced. We are sad to inform the owners that we no longer will be ordering from this place.

Sorry. Good, fresh quality sushi. Not sure what happened to the previous owners but it seems like a seamless transition. Only drawback is the same as prev establishment- not a welcome atmosphere to sit down and enjoy your food. It’s dark, dingy, weird noises are emanating from all over the place, it’s like a long narrow mysterious looking corridor. Very uninviting.

This is my first experience with them. I ordered my food and came fast. Everything was fresh and tasty. The service was quick and polite. I will be back to enjoy this place more times in the future.
