I’ll start off with the positive ambiance amazing, dessert chiefs kiss HOWEVER, the food was cold and disappointing, music was loud as hell couldn’t hear the server nor my date. I would not be coming back here nor do I recommend this place to an anyone. Do not waste your $257 gratuity not included on this place.

Excellent place to have dinner . We came for my mother in laws birthday, about 13 people in our group the staff was very accommodating and the food was great . We also booked a mariachi band to play inside the restaurant which went very well with the help of the manager Zamira!!

Daniella was so welcoming and kind to us. She recommended amazing tasty drinks, the corn, guac and crab tostada were good appetizers. The talum rice as a main dish with shrimp, the abuela's rice as a side, the shrimp/steak tacos and fish tacos were delicious 😋. The food all around was top notch. I've tried many churros but these churros for dessert were 10 out of 10. The texture, the bite, the softness and the strawberry jam to dip them in was delightful. And the tres leche was not too sweet but just right with all the different milks, I could have had the entire one myself if I didn't have to share with my friends lol. It was a great birthday celebration dinner.

Tabu did not disappoint! Our server Isabella was phenomenal. The customer service was amazing — everyone was so welcoming and attentive from the moment we walked in. The aesthetic and decor instantly gave Tulum vibes: warm, tropical, chic, and the perfect spot if you love a restaurant that feels like an escape.
The food was rich, flavorful, and tasted so authentic. Definitely great portion sizes and options for the price. The drinks were strong (in the best way!) and every cocktail we tried was delicious. We will be back.

Service was horrible. I had to keep calling the server over to order a beverage. She was more focused on talking with her colleague instead of being attentive. This place is overrated and overpriced for mediocre food. Not everything was at temp and it wasn't even busy for our entrée to take an hour to arrive. I was very disappointed. Maybe it was just a bad night but I dont think I would ever return.

I don’t usually write reviews about restaurants because I’ve only ever had great experiences, but I’m really torn about the 10-minute experience I had here. I had been saving this restaurant for my birthday weekend on October 25. We scheduled a table for two that night and even drove 40 minutes to get there. When we arrived, there was a wedding going on. The restaurant’s manager pulled us aside to explain that they were having issues with their system and the date hadn’t been properly blocked off. She apologized and told us she could book us for another day and that everything would be taken care of. A few days later, we messaged her using the number she gave us to reschedule and give the restaurant another chance. She never replied. Considering everything that happened, I found that very unprofessional. Because of this experience, I’ve honestly lost my appetite for this place.

What a day! Working in medical sales, I host a lot of educational speaker events and Tabu came highly recommended by a nurse at The Brooklyn Hospital to host my next one. I was a bit skeptical at first because I was not familiar with the neighborhood. I called the restaurant and spoke with Angelica who told me Zamira would be on-site to show me around. When I arrived, the space looked a little smaller than what I had envisioned. Zamira assured me she could make it work and fit over 30 people comfortably indoors with a projector for the presenter. I was still unsure but decided to trust her and the team.
On the day of the event I had just finished another speaker program and arrived exhausted, not sure what I would be walking into. To my surprise everything was already set up with a projector, laser pointer and a microphone for my speaker. They even adjusted the lighting to a soft blue to match my product Vashe which truly made the room feel elevated.
Guests slowly began to trickle in and the space filled up beautifully. The event was packed, smooth and a complete success. Everyone complimented the venue. I am so grateful for the staff Zamira, Alek, Angelica, Alex and everyone behind the scenes who put in the work to make it happen.
I will absolutely be hosting my next event here and I cannot wait to come back and take advantage of their outdoor space.
Great eatery in Brooklyn, the decor will definitely transport you to Mexico. The bar has a full selection of tequila. There's a beautiful outdoor area.
