Tacos Matamoros is one of the most authentic and tastiest spots in the area. The food is full of flavor, the prices are fair, and the atmosphere is pure Sunset Park energy. Yes, it gets loud — but that’s part of the charm! Between the flowing margaritas, the laughter, and the surprise visits from mariachis, it’s not just a restaurant — it’s an experience.

I've dined here almost weekly for near 2 years. It's been consistently good food and good vibes. I will say that weekends specifically evening it can get extremely busy wait time can be up to 30 minutes or more. If that doesn't put you off then I'd say you'd enjoy the food. I usually alternate between a quesadilla or enchiladas rojas al estilo matamoros. It's good and it's not pricey.
