I've been wanting to try this place for awhile since seeing IG posts showing the yummy food. I was in the area and stopped by around noon, after it just opened, so the line was short. I wanted to order everything, but was by myself, so i only got the chicken katsu sando and it was so good! The fried chicken was crispy and the milk bread was so soft and fresh. Best Non-Beef Katsu Sandos I’ve Had in the U.S.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon to grab a couple of quick bites to take to the park nearby. It was around 4 p.m., so I didn’t expect much of a crowd, but my order still took almost half an hour (definitely worth placing it online in advance).

I cannot resist a good shokupan moment, and Taku Sando is THE SPOT to secure a fresh loaf of shokupan for only $12. I highly recommend getting both the pork katsu and egg sandos to share. The hot and cold combo works perfectly together. The refreshing egg salad also balanced out the richness of the deep-fried pork cutlet.

I went around noon on a Saturday and while there was a line, it moved quickly so don’t be scared away. The back garden seating was cute...
