I got hooked on the best home baked, moist rum-filled, delicious black cake and so far I love the Brown Stewed Chicken with Rice and peas and veggies and the chicken patties are really really good and also homemade! Will try it all eventually! The people are really great salt of the Earth types! Thank you and Bless!!

I finally decided to try this place after driving by several times… i came here for breafast as i was craving Salt fish… So i ordered 2 orders of salt fish callaloo, fried dumplings n banana/cinnamon porridge… ok.. the salt fish was sooi salty n rubbery we had to eat small bites with water!! The dumpling was huge like a coco bread but was pretty good… the calaloo was bland had no taste at all… n the porridge OMG watery n soooooo sweet i had to pour it out!!! Waste of money… i will not be returning… i dont have money to waste!!! Service was ok… i also ordered a chicken patty it was pretty good!!!

I don’t normally write reviews but this place is disgusting the service was absolutely horrible she had a horrible attitude and doesn’t know how to talk to people . This is my second time trying to eat here only because I live close to here but I won’t be going here anymore .The ackee was wayyy too salty and the soup was literally like gravy. The place had a weird stench that made me gag I would not recommend!

The food here is really just okay. Their patties are usually good- sometimes they’re really tasty & full of meat and flavor, other times they’re just oily or too dry. Really no consistency. The food itself is very much also just okay. I tried a jerk chicken meal- because you really can’t mess that up, right? Yeah the chicken meat was very skimp and lacked flavor. So happy I didn’t go for the oxtail. You would think these people are Black Americans if they didn’t have an accent. Sometimes they have not so friendly staff, which would make you believe the food must be amazing, but that’s not the case. You just get a mildly unpleasant experience and a decent enough meal. There’s definitely better Jamaican/Caribbean restaurants in the area so give them a try.

I have been to this store many, many times. My favorite pickups here are the beef patty and the ackee and saltfish. The ackee and saltfish are great, however what is beyond excellent is the beef patty! The skin and beef are seasoned perfection. I have been having beef patties over many years all over NY city and whomever is making them in house there is the beef patty King/Queen. 6 damn stars!

I’ve only ever gotten the curry chicken which is just descent. Took a chance and got the curry goat and got 3 big bones with no meat. I barely got any goat. The young girl that’s there today dont know how to make a plate. They also have a sign that taxes are included in the price but still charge tax
