Basic, super greasy pilaf, basically slides down your throat, pickles are extremely salty can't even swallow, serious language barrier. Would not recommend. Surprised to see such high ratings. Much better food else where. Samasas are drowned with cumin, def don't order that unless you like chewing on cumin, some bites were pure cumin spice.

Very disappointed! Had high hopes for my first tanduri experience. The food was cold. The soup was lukewarm and tasted as if microwaved. The waitress was in a rush and very rude.

I ordered a chicken kebab & rice while getting my bike serviced across the street at Roy's. My chicken was undercooked...like...not even close to cooked. I had to send it back twice. TWICE! The first bite I took was close to raw. I still had some doubts when I got it back the third time.
I did not feel well afterwards.
They say you should always blame incompetence rather than malice. But...incompetence on that scale is...really incompetent. Salmonella can be deadly. Maybe the person they had on the grill was new? I don't know. The rice was good.

Best food
This review is for take-out food from Tandit Rokhat. As Central Asian food, particularly Uzbeki food, is becoming quite popular and since the food is generally delicious and flavorful, I have sampled quite a few of these restaurants. I find that Tandur Rokhat has decent food at affordable prices, but it is by no means more than ordinary.
I ordered five items... the Uyghur Samsa was good with flavorful tender meat, although too baked for my palate. The fatir was awful, not at all fresh, drenched in fat, burnt on the underside. They had it in saran wrap which indicates to me it had been on their shelves for a couple of days. The soups: shurpa soup was good and flavorful while the lagman soup was rich and had lovely handmade noodles. Finally, the Lula kebab with potatoes was a good portion with the kabobs very good while everything else was too oily and too salty. So, in conclusion, decent food at decent prices, much lower than some other places. But, there is much better Central Asian restaurants as their competition and I don't mind paying more for food that I like more, elsewhere.

Great food, casual and delicious
It's a small place, but it's not a bad place. The food is delicious, the prices are adequate. The service is self-driving, but it doesn't get in the way much. In general, if you want homemade food and large portions, you can run in.

When it comes to Uzbek traditional food, I come or order online from this place! They've got everything you need, fresh, super tasty, the portions are decent size, always on point! I don't regret ordering here, never had any single issue with them! Highly recommended!

It used to be the best place to eat Uzbek somsa maybe 5 years ago. However, the taste of somsa has changed...

This restaurant made my day- no, actually, made my whole month. The tandoori samsa was so good, with its perfect combination of flaky, crumbly dough and savory, juicy minced meat. The lagman portion was very generous, and it was packed with rich flavor that transported me immediately to the vast wonderland of Central Asia.
The staff was genuinely friendly, and one of them had a smile like straight out of a Hollywood movie—handsome and charming! I only wish I were a resident of Sheepshead Bay or Brooklyn at large so I could come here regularly. This place is a gem.
