When Taqueria Maria e Ricardo first opened (8 years ago?), I was hesitant to try it. I loved the Caribbean place that used to be in this spot (anyone remember Brooklyn Belly?) and the fact that they offered hard-shell tacos put me off a little. Just felt a bit Taco Bell, and I didn't expect authenticity. But then my roommate at the time, who had spent 5 years living in Mexico City, came home one day and said, "Their tacos are really good." Well, that was all I needed. And he was right. They are good. And Carolina, who works the counter most days, is a delight. This has become one of my regular go-tos for takeout. (They did add some covered outdoor seating during the pandemic, but it is mostly a take-out kind of place.) One last note: I'm not sure what they do to them, but their rice and beans are some of the most the most flavorful I've ever had in my life.

Absolutely delicious tacos and nachos with incredibly fast delivery!! Granted, I live nearby, but sometimes we will go from ordering to receiving our food delivered to us within 15 minutes! I highly recommend the chicken tacos and getting nachos with pulled pork and everything else on them!Parking: Just Brooklyn street parking, unfortunately.
Delicious Mexican food. Burrito is very filling and tasty. Never disappointed. Even on take out. The restaurant itself is small, five tables or so. But staff is very friendly. Fish Tacos were very tasty as well! No complaints. One of our local favorites....
It's alright... this is definitely a spot for "quantity" over quality... I guess? This was for a delivery - took about 20mins - from placing the order to delivery - not bad at all! We ordered a bunch of tacos, like over ordered... to feed our friend's gathering - a party of 11! Way too many tacos, burritos and nachos... steak, carnitas, pull pork, chicken, chorizo, and guacamole w/ chips. We usually get our fix from another spot... but dang! They closed that day... so what do we yelpers do?! Search on Yelp! Keke (the reviews looked good... but guess the quality wasn't as great as Avocado Mexican Grill). I like the tacos here. Had the fish and chicken taco. It’s a bit pricey but the size were big and filling. I was also tempted to get some house sangria, but I don’t want to get back to work lit.
