We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and the space. Well executed classics like Galbi and Naeng Myun. A little pricy but and out of the way but definitely a good spot for folks who don’t wanna go into manhattan or go all the way to queens. Super empty when we went, which makes me feel like the place is a bit underrated

Last week, after a long and tiring day, a group of four of us were looking for a good Korean restaurant and luckily, we found Taste Korea 232! At first, we were a little confused about what to order because we weren’t familiar with many dishes, but our server was incredibly helpful. He patiently explained the menu to us in detail, making it much easier to choose.
With his guidance, we ordered a variety of dishes: Hot Stone Bibimbap, Kalbi BBQ, Budae Stew, Soondubu, Jeeyok Bokkeum, and Kimchi Fried Rice. We also ordered some cocktails and drinks, which were very decorative, creative, and absolutely impressive. The taste of everything was simply 10/10 so flavorful and satisfying!
We even asked for the server’s name, he spelled it as Ku (we’re not 100% sure). His personality was amazing: he was smiling the entire time, even though he was handling many other tables. His outfit was vibrant and he carried himself very professionally while staying friendly and approachable. The cocktails truly stood out and are honestly some of the best we’ve had. We ended our day on such a happy and positive note, thanks to this wonderful experience. We’re definitely excited to come back again soon!

Kimchi jjigae is watery and the soup base tastes off. The pork inside is all fat. Maybe just for flavor. Seems like a rip off for $20. Try the one at slow loris. Much more authentic and worth the price.

Why does it cost $3 to replace beef with tofu or kimchi in the bibimbap? Makes no sense

My boyfriend and I ordered dinner from Taste Korea because I was feeling homesick and wanted Korean food. The soups were okay. The brown rice smelled so off putting I lost my entire appetite. The brown rice was inedible. Next time smell the rice before you send it through DoorDash.

Solid Korean food in Bed Stuy / Clinton Hill. Likely one of the only options here as well.
The Hot Stone Bibimbap was great, especially w/ the added bulgogi. I enjoyed the rice crunch. The Mandu Guk was also good too, a familiar dish for most Koreans. I liked it better than some places in Flushing, where other restaurants add a lot of black pepper. This broth was great on a cold day. The Topokki was standard, they all taste quite similar.
Prices are a bit on the higher side, but the portions are quite large. I wouldn’t recommend getting a starter, we couldn’t finish all our food because we were so full. Good food !

Way better than expected.
I'm a NY native and I've tried a lot of Korean food before. I have Cho Dang Gol almost once a month. I've tried Jungsik, Kisa, Tosokchon, Miss Korea, Kunjip, Olle, Her Name is Han etc...
I went to Korea 3 times this year, for a total of 3 months in Seoul, Daegu, Busan, Jeju, Gyeongju, so at this point I feel like I can say you can trust my opinion on Korean cuisine at least a little bit.
And what I think is, honestly, this may be the best Korean food in Brooklyn, and second best in the whole city only beaten by Chodanggol, which is saying a lot.
The food tastes nice and clean, showing that the cooking was done with care and good technique. The flavors actually reminded me of the same dishes from popular local restaurants in Seoul.
I would recommend the
- Hot Stone Bibimbap (Bulgogi)
- Sundubu Stew (Pork)
I also think eating in would be far better than takeout just so your food can be eaten at the ideal temperature and texture.
Definitely should give it a try!
