Food was great 10/10. The owners and the daughter at the register (Heaven) are so nice and welcoming! Long line out the door at times and there's a worker at the door monitoring how many customers can enter at a time. No indoor dining, but seating available outside. These things however, do not take away from the fact that the food is delicious here! Will definitely go back if in the area.

I have been coming here for over a year. At first the food was really good and comforting. The last few times I’ve gone it’s been underwhelming and lacking flavor. Very liquid Mac and cheese as well. It wasn’t like that before.

Before we get to talking about the food, let’s talk about the service… Southern Hospitality at its finest. Usually you come to a spot like this and they rush you out with your order. Excellent service. I wanted candy yams it near closing time and they had some cooking told me how long it would take and I waited. Family Run Black Business Love to see it? Now the food Sweet Lord. That turkey wing feel off the bone ? Perfect amount of seasoning and sweetness. Candied yams is the best I’ve had to date it wasn’t sickly sweet you had the sweetness of the sweet potatoes really shining through spiced perfectly; most places put too much sugar in their yams where it’s mushy n sugary this was not the case. Mac n Cheese solid. Cornbread was some cornbread alright ?? slightly coarse texture from the corn that made it very enjoyable and authentic. Turkey Chilli and white rice couldn’t go wrong with at all? Got Fruit punch and grape drink that was perfect too. The food is made with love you can really taste it. Looking forward to coming back and spending more. Got a customer for a lifetime. Big Thanks to Aunt Mel, Uncle Tony and Heaven you run a phenomenal joint ???? Can not recommend this place enough
The food is absolutely amazingly delicious. The only problem that I had was they never gave me my string beans or my vegetables because they did not have the collard greens or the cabbage. That’s the only problem but other than that, the food is Bussin Bussin hands-down going back again and I hope this time I get either collard greens cabbage Vegetables whatever It don’t matter ?????
I had the Mac and Cheese with Turkey Wings, Corn Bread and Callard Greens. The food overall I will rate a 7 it could have do with some more flavor and the corn bread was brunt.

I heard about this place from a YouTube video that made it seem great. N thats not the case. This is the second place I try from the same youtuber, and I'm starting to realize this person has no taste buds. I'm not saying the food is bad, just not worth the hype. I would never wait in line for this food. I ordered three different plates to try them out, i thought they was known for the oxtails. They only served it on Friday in the oxtails i had better from Golden Crust, how disappointed.

Delicious food. One of my go to’s for a devilish meal. Would highly recommend the turkey or chicken, any flavor. My favorite sides are the mac&cheese and string beans. Don’t go the minute they open or right before close as the listed hours are a bit abstract.
Hesitant to write a review because I want to gatekeep but they deserve the most success possible. One of my favorite spots in NYC and my FAVORITE soul food spot (I’m from Texas).
I heard the jerk turkey wing was good so I got it reluctantly due to the bad rep turkey gets. That ish was fall off the bone and so delicious that I thought they gave me a pork rib instead but nope it’s actually that good. Also got Mac n cheese, yams, and collard greens which all were fire.
I will always support and stop by for a bomb meal here ?

We were visiting NY and this was on our to eat list :-). We got there around 2 on a Friday so somethings were not available. Note to self get there early if you’re trying to eat everything. And also bring cash just in case. The servers were very nice and friendly and told us how long it would be to wait for the freshly baked corn bread which came with our meal. We aired like 10 minutes. The spot is giving 1995 but the food is definitely in 2024. No inside dining so plan accordingly if you trying to eat right away. Worth the trek for us.
