I waited a week to come here for the first time on a Friday because it’s the only day they serve oxtails and salmon. I ordered both entrees but the oxtails, cabbage and rice and peas were good. The wait time was five minutes and staff was friendly. I commuted from another borough just to buy their food.
The food at TOH is incredible! Each dish is packed with flavor, especially the fried chicken and collard greens. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it feel like home. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic soul food!
Being originally from rural Alabama, I like to say I know good soul food and let me tell you, Taste of Heaven in Brooklyn does it right!!! I had recently moved to the area (3 years ago) from Queens and was so thrilled to try it. Needless to say, it did not disappoint. The fried chicken was piping hot, crispy, and full of flavor.
