Some of the best patties in Brooklyn with nice soft coco bread. They have a variety of flavors of patties from veggie, beef, curry chicken, salmon and more.

Love the patty!! Beef and salmon. Puddings enjoyed- could taste the vanilla-
cinnamon -nutmeg, and hard dough bread is soft. Black cake we haven’t eaten it yet, but we can smell it through the plastic wrap, so we have high hopes that it will be decent.

I recently visited Tastees for the second time, and overall, the food is pretty good! I ordered the oxtail with rice and plantains to go. I also ordered the stew chicken for my partner, but I can't vouch for It because I didn't try It. The oxtail was tender and literally came right off the bone, which is always a good sign. The rice and plantains were also tasty, and the portions are definitely generous. Unlike a lot of places that skimp on portion size, Tastees fills up the pan, which I really appreciated.

However, I did run into a small hiccup when I asked for mac and cheese—unfortunately, they were out. I was a bit disappointed, but when I asked for a side of plantains instead, I was told they couldn’t guarantee there would be enough left by the time I got there. It was around 6 p.m. when I called, so I was a little surprised that they were running low this early. Despite this, I did end up getting my plantains when I arrived, so all worked out in the end.

One thing to note is that parking in the area can be tricky. Most people seem to be double-parked along the street, so it’s something to consider when visiting. Not really a reflection of the restaurant itself, but worth mentioning.

I’ve been coming here for around six years and I started to notice that they are overcharging people who aren’t Jamaican.

I don’t know about the food and pastries but the cake that they claimed that it’s fresh tasted really horrible, tasted nothing like cake it tasted like it was burnt and just waste of time and ingredients making it, i was pissed off cuz each slice were 5 dollars! Like chill, even the best cakes slice are not like that. I literally threw them away I bought a lemon and a chocolate cake and they were full of just sour dough and like someone is tryna bake for the first time. Yet their appearance looked good which is weird.

I went here 3 times because I love how they prepare their food . I ordered Curry Goat and yellow rice & Red beans with Bake Mac and cheese . I taken it home and ate it all up while watching Star Trek with Captain Kirk , and that dish was outstanding ?
