The food is okay I normally eat there because its close to work and they have a food for $6 and change and other places don't do this. The macroni salad is pretty good I normally get this side all the time. One time I got chicken soup and it was extremely watery and had only carrots chicken, and cassava i think it was in it (some soup) and it was spicy. Depending on what time you go the lines can be long..They need two cashier for the checkout because this takes forever and thats how its always so crowded.

Update: im not sure if its a new chef but the food is extremely salty. This is the second time i bought food recently and it was salty. First time it was a snapper dinner and 3.14 it was stew chicken with white rice.

Update: November 23,2024
I hardly go here. I decided to stop by yesterday. I got a small meal luckily. It was sweet Chilli wings, white rice (didn't have rice and peas) and oxtail gravy. The Marconi salad as a side was okay. The sweet chili there was nothing sweet about it. You could just taste the salt. The oxtail crazy was just bland. I hardly ate the food. I've given this place alot of chances over the years. It is now on my banned list.

Terrible customer service with a healthy dose of bad attitude. It’s not worth it.

The food is amazing, by far the best beef patty I've had in NY. Their honey jerk chicken is great, just the right amount of Honey to not overpower the jerkiness, perfectly spiced.

The lady that serves the food is so rude. She should put that energy into cooking good food & not this salty soggy chicken.

I've never heard of a service charge for getting only meat. The meat i bought was cowfoot. I was charged a total of 16 dollars for a large cowfoot. They don't tell you this. I had to look at my receipt. Jerk chix was dried out. They had not veg and charged full price for a platter. The workers need to work on their attitudes because it's the customers who keep their business afloat. I don't have a problem paying for good food, but when it's bad, along with the poor customer service, this is a place I will never break bread with again ..

Two stars for the food. Most days the food is okay. The customer service of the ladies there is terrible. I made a serious complaint about the attitude of the ladies so I think they are getting better but they still need to hire more pleasant females to work. I get it that it’s a simple restaurant but customer service should be represented at such poor quality.

On 3.22.24, I asked for drum sticks & the server intentionally gave me dry thighs. I wished I had checked the order before I left. Not every server is attentive & provides quality service. Not sure if I would visit again
