Today I got 3 wheat bread for my Mom cause it's her favorite bread, so I tried the jerk chicken for myself, OMG, it's juicy with the exact amount of heat. The service, from my favorite cashier, goes above and beyond. She also ask how's my Mom doing each and every time I go and buy her bread. I love there food and personality.

This was gross and the worst chicken I’vehad. I ordered the jerk wings which were not jerk and had a liquid smoke taste. Meat was gray and tasted days old. Rice was hard and old . I threw the whole meal away and $11 for a small with no plantain or side is ridiculous. I used to come here in 2015-18 when i was a teen and it was great but now it’s nasty and the service was horrible.

Came home and found a hair in my food along with plastic . I call the manager who told me to describe the hair and bring back the food . I told her my mother will bring the food back because she is on her way out and you can exchange it for another food of equal value . They gave my mom a very difficult time saying there is no receipt . Despite giving the ending of my card number the time the scenario and conversation that was had between the cashier and the manager about there being a previous refund due to hair in the food . I was still given a difficult time . I came to straighten the situation in person .. but manager seem puzzled and unaware of her staff lack of hygiene practice , meeting customers at a common ground, and basic principle of management 101 . I mean I found hair in my food kinky hair almost as if it was somebody long nasty pubic hair in the food . How disgusting and the main concern is there is no receipt . I will be be calling the DOH

The workers need to take more pride in the cleanliness of the counter. They also need to know what they have on hand. The first time I went , I ordered 6 chicken patties, and paid for them in advance. When the server went to the case, they only had 1 chicken. I feel that the individual should have known before having me pay f o r the 6. The 2nd time I went I wanted 4chicken, the case again the individual didn’t know that there was NO chicken patties until she went to the case. When she asked the timeline for the chicken patties I was told 35mins. I did return after 45mins and got the patties. They were quite good. It seems that the workers on the front of the store needs to be better trained. There are more POOR reviews than positive ones. It is unfortunate. I hope they can become better and stay as an integral part of the community

Discrimination… They charged me 5$ extra for a cake and coffee. It took them 20 min to serve it to me. Three other customers were served first.

The food is okay I normally eat there because its close to work and they have a food for $6 and change and other places don't do this. The macroni salad is pretty good I normally get this side all the time. One time I got chicken soup and it was extremely watery and had only carrots chicken, and cassava i think it was in it (some soup) and it was spicy. Depending on what time you go the lines can be long..They need two cashier for the checkout because this takes forever and thats how its always so crowded.
Update: im not sure if its a new chef but the food is extremely salty. This is the second time i bought food recently and it was salty. First time it was a snapper dinner and 3.14 it was stew chicken with white rice.
Update: November 23,2024 I hardly go here. I decided to stop by yesterday. I got a small meal luckily. It was sweet Chilli wings, white rice (didn't have rice and peas) and oxtail gravy. The Marconi salad as a side was okay. The sweet chili there was nothing sweet about it. You could just taste the salt. The oxtail crazy was just bland. I hardly ate the food. I've given this place alot of chances over the years. It is now on my banned list.
