Nicest bagels in New York! ? I came to visit New York for 2 weeks and couldn’t understand why NY is known for bagels. All the ones I had were sub par to say the least. Until I landed here!! The bagels are out of this world and so creative. The staff were kind and helpful which was a relief, compared to the usual chaos of bagel shops. Good selection of drinks, I got a lemon tea which was delicious. We were able to eat indoors due to the cold. Thank you ❤️
Loved the ? bagel with cream cheese. Amazing staff and friendly. Great atmosphere. Will definitely recommend this place .
Discovered this gem while browsing through the area! The staff was very polite and friendly and we were able to eat inside as it was way too cold to stay outside. There's also a USB charging station so that you can charge your phone. Great variety of bagels. The rainbow one and the heart shaped ones are HUGE compared to your classic bagel. They also have lots of cream cheeses to choose from. Our favorites were the blueberry and strawberry ones (not so sweet), as well as the salted caramel one (sweet).Would recommend it 100/100! Will definitely visit again!
LOX AND CREAM CHEESE ON AN EVERYTHING BAGEL!!!The lox, the cream cheese, the capers, ?…. The bagel?…. So fresh, so perfect!! ??Best thing I ate in New York. Went on a Sunday had to go back the next day and take a few of them back to St.Kitts with me!!The staff were super friendly and remembered us the next day. LolThe rainbow bagel was also really great! I’ll definitely return on my next trip to NYC!!
Just discovered MY bagel store. Spent 9 days in NY and went here twice as I just couldn't help myself. I already can't wait till I'm back to NY to go here again? The bagels are so fresh and good, the variety of cream cheese is huge, and overall you will most likely spend about 10 minutes just picking what exactly to order - so many choices! They have rainbow bagels, blue bagels, yellow bagels, croissant&bagel mix, etc.Everybody can choose something here to their liking.
My friends and I were here for one week and we’re hell-bent on trying all the exotic and wacky foods that New York city had to offer. I on the list was the rainbow bagel that I saw all over the Internet. On Monday we traveled all the way from Manhattan about 40 minutes to dry the bagels. We arrived around 3 o’clock, 30 minutes before the store closed, and were with the bad news that the rainbow bagels were out. Highly upset, we left and thought we wouldn’t he the chance again. The following day we started super early, since we departed later that day, and made our way back out to Brooklyn to try the famous bagel. We were super excited to see them in person and even got the pleasure to meet, Scott, the owner. The place was pretty cool, but the real experience was due to Scott. He makes every rainbow bagel by hand and is extremely knowledgeable about everything in his industry. He was great to talk with and even gave us an extra bagel on the house. It was well worth the trip back, but lesson learned, always call ahead. Thanks Scott and team!
Never disappoints! funfetti n bacon
I can’t believe this place is just a short walk away. My husband and I split the “over the rainbow” bagel. It was delicious. Like you’re eating cheesecake for breakfast. The staff is friendly, quick, and did a great job! Happy to discover this beautiful place.
Why did it take me so long to taste their rainbow bagels? I smiled from ear to ear as I devoured it. The walnut raisin cream cheese is delicious.
I love bagels. Love !! I've been trying different places lately. My usual is on Bergen street. I've walked past this place so many times because the windows are so crowded with ads that It looks closed. Or dirty. Wow was I wrong. The place is really nice inside clean and fresh. I tried their sesame bagel with scallion cream cheese. It was perfect!! The bagel is packed on the outside with sesame seeds and the crust was perfect. The cream cheese was delicious. Also bought a bagel croissant hybrid with cheddar cheese and jalapeno (pictured) I'm about to try. Looks awesome. I'll follow up. A bit more expensive than my usual place. A bagel with scallion cream cheese and a container of OJ is 8.72 but at Bergen it's 7.38. so after trying 6 other places. This is my favorite bagel. Lightly crisp on the outside . The perfect bagel.
Restaurantji Recommends
Everything we had here was amazing. Spent a week in NY and came here twice just because I couldn’t find anything to match. Big and inventive selection of bagels, spreads, and sandwiches. Bring cash and they give a discount. Definitely recommend it.
I wanted to try out this place for their famous rainbow bagels and I ended up being more satisfied with my "signature bagel" (bacon, egg and cheese) bagel than my "over the rainbow" bagel. Bagel Store is great and I strongly recommend trying it out for the novelty of the rainbow bagel, but I think you should not overlook their other amazing options!
I saw this place on Instagram and everything looks amazing, but I’ve been burned before by restaurants whose food looks good but tastes bland or downright awful. The Bagel Store lives up to the internet hype. I bought a bacon, egg, and cheese on the jalapeño cheddar cragel for breakfast and it was so good; perfect amount of spice and the cragel was all the best textures of croissant & bagel combined. I also bought the Over the Rainbow bagel to eat later. I assumed all the bright colors would make it taste like straight food coloring, but I was wrong. The rainbow bagel had a wonderful flavor and the sprinkle cake cream cheese is just divine. So glad we took a trip off our planned path to come here!
I drove 4 hours just to check out the infamous rainbow bagel. It was worth the trip!! I got the rainbow bagel with strawberry cream cheese. It was delicious. The atmosphere was adorable also!!
Wonderful bagels/cragels and service. We came to Brooklyn specifically for this spot and it wasn't a wasted trip.Staff was friendly and the food ruined the bagel spots for me back at home.(also, thank you tyler for the water! lol )
