Cute little (dive??) bar for a quick drink. We came in for a little comedy show and the space was endearing, open for pool and hanging, and otherwise just fun. Will go back!

Update - it was great a couple of years ago just like Bushwick/ now it's disappointing
Chris, our sound tech was awesome during our ECLECTIC ELECTRONIC live music event. So knowledgeable and accommodating with a guest attitude!

Cool spot with a pool table, and a back room where there is sometimes karaoke.
There's also a small cute outdoor area for smokers

This venue did a disservice to a band I was supporting. The band I was paying for was suppose to start at 7pm but got pushed back to 10pm due to double booking and they allowed the 2nd to last band to play over their time slot causing a petty delay. On top of that they made an alternative poster cutting out the name of the band I was supporting. Further more, a manager yelled at the 2nd to last band for playing over the time slot, causing the crowd to walk out which made a bad turn out for the closing band. After the crowd walking out, the staff took the cash box an left the entrance unattended, adding to the bad turn out of the night. The supporters and I will not be coming back to this venue.

I like this bar but the bartender on a Monday night is so rude.
Chill bartenders, but I prefer my dive bars to have more old man vibes. I think this would be a good place to either start or end your night.

Bought tickets for the comedy show and was a big disappointed. They delayed the show by over 35+ min and the show itself is supposed to be 2 hours long which is irritating tbh bc when I paid for the tickets online they were 7$ and in person 5$. Not the end of the world but put me off a bit. The front area was packed full but the actual comedy show only had a few ppl who were definitely either high or regulars. Only 2 out of maybe 7 or so comedic were actually somewhat funny. Not worth the two trains and 7$ (however cheap it was) to be there. Everyone was friendly for sure and it definitely is a popular place, this is just my two cents.

Wow, what a show! I came to the Live From Outer Space Comedy show on Friday and it was a hit!
The performances were absolutely hilarious. And the audience was funny too. The comedians covered a variety of topics - there were at least three 9/11 jokes, a great poly joke and even singing. Plus all diverse is style of comedy and world view.
They were all charming in their own ways and they managed to touch on some sensitive subjects with grace and humor, making everyone in the audience laugh at the horrible parts of the world and not at the expense of others.
The host - John and his co hosts really do a great job picking the line up, makes sense they're the longest running show in bushwick!

I'm giving the bar itself 5 stars because it's legendary and great and I hope it lasts forever (plus I don't like bringing down a venue's rating for something they just host). The sound system in the back is fantastic. But the karaoke hosts (who run basically every karaoke in the neighborhood)...hm. I couldn't hear a word the female host was saying whenever she was on stage. And the way they run the show seems to be to put up the songs in order no matter what, so a bunch of regulars showed up super early and put in seemingly unlimited requests (also seemed to know the hosts so probably got priority) and then we all had to watch them each sing multiple times (I mean like 2-4 times while other people were still waiting to sing once-- they had great voices but there was a LOT of Lady Gaga). Most of our songs didn't come on for hours...the room almost totally emptied out and people were still waiting. Just doesn't seem like a great system? They also tell you you get bumped up by one slot for every dollar you tip which did not seem to be true...I wouldn't expect that to be the case and I'd tip anyway, but they did say it and then they didn't seem to be clocking which tip went with which song/person (and that just seems like it would make the system even more unfair). One super drunk/high person also tried to steal the mic and wouldn't leave the stage during my friend's performance -- it was physically uncomfortable to the point where my friend had to ask them to back off and towards the end just gave them the mic and fled the stage, and no one from the karaoke team stepped in to help or try to get the bouncer.
Best Bar in the neighborhood with an incredible staff.
