I recently tried an chicken sandwich that was a major disappointment. Despite its high price, the sandwich was nearly inedible. The chicken was overly salty, masking any potential flavor it might have had. The bun was dry and lacked any redeeming qualities, making each bite a struggle. Overall, it was a letdown, proving that sometimes, even a high price tag can’t guarantee a tasty meal

Very aggressive bouncer! I recommend calling the cops if you feel unsafe or threatened!
I was waiting for my food and got asked to leave for not having my passport or ID!
No one asked for anything upon ordering/paying. Very poor service!
Yoo owner, seems like you got a top ranking restaurant but some of your stuff aren’t helping - the bouncer and lady on the bar working yesterday 10/24 at 8:00pm black hair need to get fired asap!!

Thursday Night. October 24 2024. Sat down ordered food 8:30 pm with a friend. Stepped outside for a bit. 9 pm new bouncer came in literally did not let me back in the restaurant even though i had already ordered and my friend is waiting at the table because i didnt have my physical ID on me. Keep in mind I am 30 years old. Bouncer told me to wait outside while they give me my food to go and reimburse the tip!!!! How efd up is that! I asked for a full refund, did not get my food and left. I am sooooooooooooo disappointed in this place!!!! Never ever coming again and never telling anyone I know to go! Bouncer should be fired

Bouncer kicked us out because one of us did not have a physical ID, AFTER we had already sat down, ordered, and paid for the food. We did not order any alcohol and are in our mid 30s. Bouncer is on a power trip.

I got stood up here, but that's not gonna stop be from writing an awesome review. I had the chicken burger and it was perfectly seasoned and crispy. The drinks were great/ ice cold beer and mixed drinks were on point. The bartender was super nice and welcoming. I should've left disappointed for being stood up, instead I was pretty damn glad I came here= 5/5
Best fried chicken! They serve the chicken breast with 3 biscuits and butter mixed with honey. Sooooo gooooooood

I came for the fried chicken plate and it delivered. Everything else, maybe not so much.
The fried chicken, as promised, is well brined and juicy, crunchy and has a ton of batter (hopefully you like that style). The plate is huge too and I ended up taking half home.
The plate comes with biscuits which are ok but tastes like it was cooked a while ago, which is funny since I was there as soon as the kitchen opened at 5pm.
The Mac and cheese also seemed to have been made a day ago and was lukewarm. Thankfully it reheats nicely but you don't come to the Commodore to eat food the next day.
The atmosphere is that of a typical dingy bar and definitely felt like a low rent place. This feels like a late, late night place.
Overall the chicken was great but everything else was eh.

We went looking for the best fried chicken in NYC and not sure this was it.. Lovely service and friendly bartender. Food was good but nothing great, my chicken sandwich was a but dry and the coleslaw and pickles lacking tanginess. The biscuits were also a bit dry.
