$9 for a beer that isn’t even a pint. No mention on the menu that you’re only getting a 10 or 12 oz
pour.

Stopped in here on a night out with my boyfriend last week, and we were told by a member of the staff that was behind the bar to seat ourselves anywhere in the restaurant and someone would be with us shortly to take our order. We sat in an intimate corner of the restaurant, right in front of the bar, for over 20 minutes before we decided to leave. We were completely ignored and not even given a glass of water, despite seeing other people being served. No one checked in on us, even though we waited patiently. Would not recommend this spot.

After 6 years of walking past it almost daily I finally decided to go in. The Esters is a fantastic place to just go sit and talk with a friend over a drink and share some bites. In the last 2 to 3 the bars in this neighborhood have shifted to much louder places to hang out with a large group, so the Esters having remained as a sit-down-and-yap spot is refreshing.
Drinks are delicious, I had a sangria which definitely wasn’t reaaaaally a sangria but who’s keeping tabs anyways. Then I had some sort of spritz, which I do not remember the name of, but it was kind of spicy and spectacular.
Flatbread pizzas are even better than they look.

Ok this might actually be the best pizza in Greenpoint and honestly maybe even the best pizza I’ve had in NY and I’ve had a lot of pizza. Also it is worth noting that I have never been much of a crust person and this pizza single-handedly converted me. Be prepared to need to eat an entire pan for yourself. I do wish some of the seasonal pizzas would become menu staples bc the notorious F.I.G. was straight up bliss.

Great spot for pizza, cheese plates, and drinks. They have an intriguing wine menu, and some special non-alcoholic options as well. Love the place!

Went there on a Saturday night close to closing time. Bartender was super rude and aggressive and made the place feel very unwelcome. Would not recommend only because of the bartender.

Came here for a first date. Came back like 6 more times with the same date. Food, drinks, service, and atmosphere all done very well. 10/10 would recommend.

This wasn’t my first time dining here. I got the same pretentious “hipster vibe” at my first visit. The food just isn't good enough to tolerate poor service and attitude. The server was annoyed that I showed up when they opened their doors. Initially, telling me they were closed. (He didn’t realize it was passed the hour..so I get it, you just started work..but is it really that much of an inconvenience to be so cold and rude?) Or just say you need a few more minutes? After 20 minutes waiting for a menu, walked out and went elsewhere.
