After 6 years of walking past it almost daily I finally decided to go in. The Esters is a fantastic place to just go sit and talk with a friend over a drink and share some bites. In the last 2 to 3 the bars in this neighborhood have shifted to much louder places to hang out with a large group, so the Esters having remained as a sit-down-and-yap spot is refreshing.
Drinks are delicious, I had a sangria which definitely wasn’t reaaaaally a sangria but who’s keeping...

Ok this might actually be the best pizza in Greenpoint and honestly maybe even the best pizza I’ve had in NY and I’ve had a lot of pizza. Also it is worth noting that I have never been much of a crust person and this pizza single-handedly converted me. Be prepared to need to eat an entire pan for yourself. I do wish some of the seasonal pizzas would become menu staples bc the notorious F.I.G. was straight up bliss.

By far the most delicious, freshest and most original pizza in NYC. This woman managed to create the perfect pizza. She is what all pizza makers in this city are claiming to be and much more.
