This is now one of my favorite bars in all of NY!!!Tucked Behind a Japanese restaurant in Greenpoint, I didn’t know what to expect.I was truly MIND BLOWN ?I would say to get the the Pandan Painkiller and MMM shot. The Pndan Painkiller was the perfect balance of vanilla and grassy notes, the foam on top was great textural element, it was slightly salty on the sip, the sugar crystals gave it another depth of flavor and slight crunch. Everyone must have this at least once!(I hope I’m describing it correctly. I would just say go try it for yourself)If you make it for happy hour, even better, save yourself $4 bucks on that drink. $13 for happy hour!Sophia was the bartender that day and she was great!(Next time I come I’m trying some of the food too)

This was an amazing experience!!! I love wine. I like cocktails. But at Hidden Pearl, I love cocktails. I’m used too thinking about what I’m drinking in terms of layers and first taste and aftertastes. This is the first time that I’ve had cocktails this layered and subtle and thoughtful! I tried a couple of drinks first. The gin sour (with gin) gets definite kudos. But then I tried the painkiller. It’s one of the best things I have ever had to drink. I literally paid to postpone my flight by a few hours so I could have 1 (or3) more before flying home. Now that I’m home I’m googling things like Pandan. It was such a complex drink that I think I just have to go back.Lisa and Sophia behind the bar were amazing too. I learned things and have a new rum recommendation.I can’t wait to go back!!!

Lisa, the most talented mixologist I’ve ever met, is the best kept secret in New York. Come here for the best cocktails you’ve ever had, you won’t regret it.

This is probably our favorite bar in the area. The cocktails are always changing and always delicious. Lisa does a fantastic job and never misses a beat. Also don't sleep on the food. The spicy chicken and truffle fries are phenomenal. It can get crowded because it's so good so getting in early is best to get a good seat. That being said, the atmosphere is lively but chill. Highly recommend it.

Intimidate venue with only a few tables, drinks are Asian inspired and very interesting. Although most of the drinks were pretty sweet.Japanese breakfast tasted like a sweeter version of espresso martini.

My favorite bartender and speakeasy in NYC! Lisa is a phenomenal bartender - made a super creative martini with cornichon gin and chocolate liquor…sounds crazy, but was AMAZING! Try the crispy rice with tuna and karate chicken!

Have been to the Hidden Pearl twice now, once during the day and once in the evening. Can say that both times of day are great. I love that this spot isn't uptight and I appreciate that, given that it's a speakeasy. They have a great selection of cocktails and all of the ones I have tried have been delicious. Most recently I tried the Lost in Kyoto and I was a huge fan. As someone who's parent grew up in Japan I think they do a great job with the Japanese flavors and combinations. Service is great and bartenders very nice as well! I would say that it's intimate but for some reason I probably wouldn't choose to come here on a date, think it's better for catching up with friends!

Really cute for date night vibes with dim lighting and intimate seating. The bartender was great and they explained the differences between certain cocktails. A little pricey but good for one or two drinks. Recommend the flippin the bird mezcal cocktail which is light and refreshing.
