I hate to leave a bad review for this place, but I hope that it attracts the owner's attention and that they are able to improve the sanitary conditions in their restaurant a bit more.
When the restaurant first opened almost a year ago, I was very excited to have a speakeasy style pizza place in the area. I frequented the pizza counter until one day I purchased a chicken roll and found a hair inside of it mixed into the cheese. Needless to say, I didn't make a fuss about it and just didn't go back.
Last week, I found myself hungry, and the only thing that seemed appetizing was pizza. I figured that it had been so long since the first hair gaffe that I would give lanfranco's pizza inn another shot. There weren't many choices & the only thing that looked appetizing was a chicken and bacon slice. The service was quick, and the pizza was hot. As soon as I started eating, I once again noticed a hair on the cheese of the pizza.
I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt, but unfortunately, there seems to be a pattern here. I truly hope that the kitchen staff starts wearing hair nets and beard nets when making and serving the food.
I really wanted to love this place because of the concept and convenience, but unfortunately, there seems to be a cleanliness and quality control issue.

On the days when I can get a slice, it's ok, NYC is full of great slices and this one is decent. But man, the number of times I come in and there's only half a pie out for the whole house, or they tell me I gotta wait 20 minutes for a slice, I have no clue how they ever serve anyone. I just walked in after NOT getting a slice here 2 weeks ago (because I'd have to wait) and all that was out was half a Marg pie (no other slices), and no one even acknowledged that I walked in. Anyway, there's better pizza spots around, for how volatile this one can be I'm not into it.

Owned by the kindest family - this place is always on point. Best vegan and gluten free pizza. The speakeasy in the back is always beautiful :)

The pizza is good, definitely will satisfy a pizza crave if you’re in the neighborhood. However the Alfredo pasta lacked flavor and was dry. The garlic knots don’t have that chewy texture one looks forward to in a garlic knot. It tasted like baked bread shaped like a garlic knot. The staff is friendly which is nice.

Today, I ordered 3 slices and a Ceasar salad. The wait was long for my salad, so the pizza that was preheated became cold. The Ceaser Salad was an "Atrocity". The cheese was pretty bland. But the worst thing was the dressing. Before I put it on my salad, I tasted it. It might have been rancid, and if it wasn't, it was horrible. It had a real pungent smell. I had to make my own ceaser dressing at home that was much better.All of my slices tasted like they were yesterday's fresh and today's special. There are better options in the neighborhood.
For a quick stop...good and honest price ..they are not italian! Pizza with "penne pasta" is a shame! Never seen it! Please do not make ot again

been here several times over a period of months, just to get a feel for everything. Awesome customer service, made to feel welcome always.Slices were prepared exactly the way I wanted- don’t sleep on the buffalo chicken.If you are ever on that end of Union, don’t miss this spot!!!
