Atmosphere delightful! Had a vodka cocktail with refreshing lemon and mint undertones. Music is jazzy perfectly blends with the decoration.Seafood ceviche beautifully presented little on the salty side.Linguini with seafood very tasty. Tomato sauce a little heavy. I will come again . The atmosphere and the service were perfect!
My beloved friend and I came to this wonderful place for the fourth time — and once again, it was delicious, welcoming, atmospheric, and absolutely beautiful.
From the dishes to the service — everything was just perfect.
Looks like I’ve found a new favorite spot in Downtown Brooklyn.
Thank you 🫶🏼
The best pita and spreads in all of New York!! Always amazing service.
We stumbled across this amazing bar while wandering through Williamsburg with my girlfriends last weekend — and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip! What started as a quick stop for a drink turned into such a memorable evening thanks to the incredible hospitality of the bar owner.
He welcomed us like old friends, checked in on us throughout the night while we sat outside, and even took the time to chat about his journey from Kosovo to New York and starting up this bar, which apparently covered in dirt and rust when he took it over and transformed it into an amazing space. Hence the name Rusty Face!
If you’re heading to NYC, do not miss this spot! It’s one of those rare finds that you'll never forget! Brilliant!
I had the absolute pleasure of dining at *The Rusty Face* recently, and let me just say — it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we sat down, the atmosphere was relaxed yet lively, the perfect blend for a memorable meal.
We started with a refreshing cocktail, served with a bright orange garnish, setting the tone for the vibrant dishes that followed. The food presentation was beautiful, colorful, and inviting. The fried calamari was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, paired wonderfully with a zesty dipping sauce that had just the right amount of kick. The tostones (fried plantains) were golden, crunchy, and irresistible, made even better with a fresh, creamy green dip that felt homemade and full of flavor.
The true star, however, was the octopus salad. Tender pieces of octopus mixed with capers, red onions, fresh herbs, and a roasted red pepper on top, all bathed in an olive oil dressing that was simply divine. Each bite was a symphony of textures and bright, fresh flavors — it tasted like the sea, in the best possible way.
The service was attentive and warm without being intrusive, and you could tell the staff truly cared about creating a great experience.
*The Rusty Face* isn't just a meal — it’s an experience full of heart, flavor, and a little bit of magic. I can’t wait to return and try more of their delicious menu. Highly, highly recomend it.
Unfortunately I had high hopes for the Rusty Face. The atmosphere is nice, but the service and food quality was shockingly bad. We got the chicken skewers and the daily tacos. The chicken had no marinade, no char, and served with a bed of fries. The plate overall was incredibly dry and flavorless. The hummus was parsley hummus which was mediocre. The service was horrible, with drinks, apps, and entrees all taking way longer than expected. Overall, it was a disgraceful experience and I’d recommend eating at any other of Brooklyn’s many great establishments over this place.
Beyond terrible just don’t
We went here for dinner with family a few days ago.
We had tapas, steak and chicken.
Everything was great.
The boss was very attentive and nice, as was the waiter.
The ambience was also great.
Here you can also simply enjoy your cocktail at the end of the day.
If we're ever in the area again, we'd love to come back.

Food was very mediocre and small portions, service was extremely inattentive and slow. No idea why this place has such high ratings but definitely won't return.
