Had reservations for dinner on a Friday. Upon entering the restaurant there is a security guard sitting on a stool to the left of the door. He was very rude to not only me but to other patrons visiting the establishment. The hostess was nice but very overwhelmed since she was not only responsible for greeting incoming guests, but also for answering the phone. The vibe of the restaurant was that of part club and part sports bar due to the loud volume of the music playing. Once seated, our server was nice. She too seemed overwhelmed and when we were ordering our appetizers she told us that it would be best to order all of our food at the same time because the kitchen was very busy. She ensured us that all the food would not come at the same time however that was not the case. Our appetizers arrived and then so did our entrees. Ordered the jerk chicken platter and it was definitely underwhelming. The best thing about the experience there was the rum punch drink.
Had the most unpleasant experience ever at this place. Went to go sit at the bar on a Monday night (it wasn’t busy at all), and wasn’t even acknowledged by the bartenders for 5+ minutes while they sat on their phones and chatted. They acted as if we were bothering them by being there, finally took my drink order and waited a while to make it. At this point I was about to leave but then my drink came (and it wasn’t made right, so I didn’t drink it). My friend went to open the menu to tell him the exact drink she wanted, and he walked away from her and never came back. We ended up leaving after being there for about 20 minutes.
Can’t speak for the food but it looked good. Will never return due to the service.
I was in NYC for the weekend exploring Brooklyn and I heard great things About Simpson. The vibe was great and my Server Sherice was the sweetest server ever! She made a great recommendation for the brown stew snapper and she was so on point ! She made sure we were all taken care of. The food , vibe , and service 10/10 would definitely recommend. I will be back every NY visit.
it takes exactly 38 minutes to get your drinks the waiter was busy trying to take everyone’s order greedy for tips just taking orders not putting them in and not getting drinks there were other tables that we were sitting for an entire hour waiting for food n drinks DO NOT DINE HERE!!!!
I came to the Simpson for the first time and I absolutely loved it!!! First time in New York and it didn’t disappoint us at all!!! The restaurant is so beautiful and clean!!! But my server was what made my experience!!! She was so pleasant and knowledgeable about things!!! Thank you so much Sherice!! You was amazing and very attentive!!! Love it!!!
Our waitress Bianca was amazing. The food was great. The vibes were amazing. Highly recommended restaurant. They never miss!
Very disappointed with the service. Waited a hour and half for seated for 5 people. Had reservations for 7, I drove to far for this terrible experience. I will not be returning.
I had another great experience at the Simpson restaurant. The staff were very friendly and professional. The food and drink were great. I will definitely be making another reservation to visit again. 10/10
Tried ac location first and was not fully sold. Glad we came to the original. Much better. ... not that ac was bad but it just needed some touches in a few areas of food
This was a great experience. The staff are professional, the place is clean and the food was amazing !!

We arrived at 4:00 PM. on a Friday There was easy seating and low level of noise. We were there to celebrate a birthday. They sang and gave a large slice of red velvet cake. The food was good portions and delicious. The pricing was average which made the experience a good value.
Went to the one in Atlantic City. The food is very good I ordered the curry goat which comes with sautéed vegetables and bowl of white rice. They give you just enough to fill you up so no leftovers. My wife ordered the ribs so I helped her eat hers which were plenty. I ordered the rim punch which was nice & strong. The only downside side is the service which is slow and have to wait a long time for waiter to come take order and for food to come out. IfI do not know if it was due to number of people in the restaurant or they need to hire more staff. Would give 3 out of 5 stars due to service.
Other than then the oxtails being tiny and not meaty, the food was absolutely EXCELLENT quite tasty/well seasoned, however, the service not so good. Staff is sufficiently friendly but apparently there isn't sufficient staff. A bit of a wait to get served at the bar, long wait for waitress, we ordered a platter but they neglected to give us plates, we requested water without ice- that never came. Waitress was friendly but she only checked on our table once and by that time we were almost finished dining. Additionally, wait staff should be given pads on which to write food orders as opposed to writing the orders on a napkin. We were disappointed and wished the service would have been as good as their food.
Drinks took too long to come out. When my second drink finally arrived I didn't want it anymore.
This was my husband and my 4th time dining at this restaurant. We had a double date and EVERYONE loved the experience, from the exquisite food to the efficient & courteous staff to the wonderful pricing. Everything was AWESOME. We can't wait for our next visit to Brooklyn just so we can dine at The Simpson ❤️❤️❤️
