The entire meal showed consistent quality throughout. Food is priced right and tastes great. Everyone who works here treats you well. The restaurant has the perfect address. My meal there stood out.

Glad to see this spot is still open and going! I used to order from here all the when I used to work downtown Brooklyn, over 10 years ago. I would always get their fried fish with with bread. So much has changed so I'm glad to see they're still around.

Needed a nearby place for a take out lunch and The Soul Spot was just right. Unfussy basics of American soul food and Caribbean items were delicious and the service was quick. Can get busy at times but staff is efficient and polite. Yes Abel, they do have macaroni and cheese.

Wow, this place is incredibly delicious and deserves a higher rating. It’s a hidden gem that I highly recommend. The food is incredibly flavorful! I tried the fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, and collard greens. The collard greens were the best I’ve ever had.

I stopped by The Soul Spot and tried the lamb ribs—and wow, they did not disappoint! The meat was tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. You could really taste the care that went into the cooking.

Service was super quick, even during a busy time, and the portion size was generous—more than enough to satisfy a hearty appetite. The atmosphere is casual and unpretentious, but the food speaks for itself.

If you're looking for comforting, soulful flavors with no fuss, The Soul Spot is a must-try. I'll definitely be coming back!

I absolutely loved this cafeteria-style place! You get generous servings of protein and sides, all of which are amazingly flavorful. I went for the shredded chicken with dumplings, mashed potatoes, and sweet corn. The prices can't be beat, just bring your own hot sauce if you are a spice/pepper enthusiast.

They’re doing Caribbean and soul food well, but even better than the food (Oxtails, Mac & Cheese, Collard Greens, and peas & rice) was the customer service! Tassiana was so incredibly hospitable, gracious, patient and kind! If she isn’t a part of management, I would strongly consider a promotion for her. Her customer service on the phone and in person was exceptional. I’ll certainly be returning because the food did hit the spot and the hospitality was wonderful, you don’t get service like this anymore.

I hope my fiance doesn’t see this review, but it’s the best meatloaf I’ve ever had.

Ordered food online through DoorDash, The fried chicken, jollof rice, Mac and cheese, with corn bread and a homemade fruit punch. None of the food arrived which was so disappointing and frustrating. I was so excited to try this place out!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Hidden Gem That Feels Like Home!

Listen I originally walked in just for cornbread. I was in the area, looked the place up on Google, and thought I'd give it a try. The moment I saw the food, I started yelling to my friends (we were visiting from Toronto Canada) asking if they wanted anything because WOW. Every single bite was worth it.

The food felt like it came straight from my Jamaican family’s kitchen homemade, flavorful, and full of love. That cornbread? Easily the best I've had in YEARS. No joke. I even bought two extra pieces to save for later... but ended up eating them because everything was just that good.

I was so impressed I told my other friends staying at a different hotel to make the trip this place is worth it. Amazing food, great vibes, and warm service. Go support them you won’t regret it! Look at my pictures food sweet me bod bod I almost forgot to take a picture I had to play it off like I didn't touch the food 😅
