Worked on Atlantic Ave at PO for years carrier from the station told me about this spot and he would only tell me if it was hitting. Tried the turkey wings and stuffing went back 2 days later from chicken and dumplings. Would go back at least 1 time a month. I'm retired now and live in NC but whenever I'm back in NY I make at least 1 trip to the Spot

The food was delicious and tasty. The portions were okay. However, the cornbread was very small. The cashier with the bonnet on was a little rude. She did not give the best customer service. The lady serving the food was friendly. This was my first time here. I asked for dessert, but them did not have any. Desserts are on the menu. I am skeptical about coming here again.

Clean, hole-in-the-wall spot with some of the most delicious soul food and generous portions too! Prices are very fair. 10/10 no complains. The goat curry was wonderfully spiced, fall-of-the-bone tender. The rice and beans and stuffing was very flavorful. I will definitely be back here soon! Don’t sleep on this spot!
Oh man gah! Get in here and get ya some. The women who work here are friendly and helpful. And the food? Forget about it ! ALL DAY, FRIENDS. ALLLLLL DAY! I can't call out any one item cux EVERYTHING was delicious: plantains, greens, fried chicken, mac n cheese.... not a loose in the bunch. Eating spot a little small, but it works.

My first time here. I traveled from Suffolk County just to check out this place. The food is delicious. It was well worth the trip. I would recommend the spot to every. The food is good and the portions are sufficient. I had the turkey wings, collard greens and Mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was priceless!!! The wings so soft the meat was falling off of the bone and the greens seasoned to perfection!

I've been eating here for years. I live in Mount Sinai long island and sometimes make the 2hr drive just to have this food. The food is delicious but I realize for 16-17 dollars a serving of jerk chicken , rice and yam you don't get enough food. And thats the only reason why I dont come here as often, only once in a blue when I really really feel for it is because after finishing the meal I'm still hungry. The container size is way too small for the price they are charging. Next time ill include photos. You get a leg and a thigh and like a spoonful of rice and yam. In a small container. Thats my only issue with this place but the food is really good.
