I get coffee here a lot

I've only been to The West in the evenings when it is a bar. It's an interesting concept to have a bakery / cafe during the day and a bar at night. Great atmosphere and a cozy small bar in my opinion. Always a reliable pour of the Guinness and fun cocktails. Lovely outdoor seating in the back and they usually play sports games on the back projector so it's a great local spot for sure.

Perfect for every time of day. Cheapest good quality coffee and fairest priced drinks in the borough! Great patio out back, open late!

If you’re looking to work from home, this is not the place to go unless you can sit outside. The music is very loud and fills the whole room. I didn’t wanna be a Karen and ask them to turn it down so just letting others know what to expect if looking for somewhere to work.

Great place to spend a rainy Sunday morning. The Maple Spiced latte was delicious. Cold brew on tap!

Have only left 1 bad review in my life, however, this service was called for one. I ordered a drink that I had a few sips from next to my bottle of water that was also barely drank. I used the restroom for maybe 30sec and came back to both the water and beer thrown out (not a big deal because the bartender realized that, poured me another one and apologized). I then close my tab and am charged for both. I asked if I was being charged for both to the bartender who “replaced my drink”, in which he said to the other bartender charging me for both, if that was the case. He then told the other bartender charging me what happened, but she said she “will still be charging me for both drinks” and was incredibly rude, instead of understanding. As a bartender of 13 years, had this same scenario happened at any places I’ve worked, I would’ve said “oh I apologize for that, no worries” and rectified the situation. Instead, she then proceeded to “enlighten me” and explain to me the proper way to leave your drink while using the bathroom (napkin over the drink… yea, no shit). However, there were no napkins around and I didn’t think the 30sec I was gone after establishing presence at the bar that this would happen. Just overall very unprofessional on all accounts and disappointing because I like the overall atmosphere and backyard of The West. I still tipped her rude ass 20% as she sarcastically yelled “BYEEEEE” to my face.

Great coffee however the hot cups and lids don’t work together well and the cup leaks on the side at the seam

Giving 1 star because I can’t give zero. Possibly the worst service ever experienced.
