I've only been to The West in the evenings when it is a bar. It's an interesting concept to have a bakery / cafe during the day and a bar at night. Great atmosphere and a cozy small bar in my opinion. Always a reliable pour of the Guinness and fun cocktails. Lovely outdoor seating in the back and they usually play sports games on the back projector so it's a great local spot for sure.
If you’re looking to work from home, this is not the place to go unless you can sit outside. The music is very loud and fills the whole room. I didn’t wanna be a Karen and ask them to turn it down so just letting others know what to expect if looking for somewhere to work.
As a tourist, I googled nearby coffee shops and this one popped up. Staff lives in my memory rent free bc they were friendly af! Food was nice too, the sandwich was crunchy and warm.
Drinks are great too and they have happy hour. Definitely a must if you’re in Brooklyn.
