I've been living in the neighborhood for 3 years and wanted to like the West. After going a few times, I decided to find other spots and didnt return for 2 years because the music is so loud & obnoxious, the fans are at full blast even when it's freezing, and the baristas were always the opposite of warm. Honestly it gave me anxiety. Then one Saturday, a few months ago, I needed a coffee quickly and the vibes happened to be amazing. The music was so good, not too...
I've only been to The West in the evenings when it is a bar. It's an interesting concept to have a bakery / cafe during the day and a bar at night. Great atmosphere and a cozy small bar in my opinion. Always a reliable pour of the Guinness and fun cocktails. Lovely outdoor seating in the back and they usually play sports games on the back projector so it's a great local spot for sure.
If you’re looking to work from home, this is not the place to go unless you can sit outside. The music is very loud and fills the whole room. I didn’t wanna be a Karen and ask them to turn it down so just letting others know what to expect if looking for somewhere to work.
