Had a couple rounds here for the Christmas pop up and the drinks were excellent. Thanks to the hostess Tenee (spelling perhaps incorrect) for finding us seats for 4 on a packed, mostly reservation only night!
Came here for an after party for a wedding and Ryll , Frankie and Vince made us feel like family. 10/10

I am reviewing Thief as a neighbor, since I noticed John (owner/bartender?) responded to a review.
The bar seems like fun, but the noise levels are unbearable. I live adjacent to your bar and the sound of the live band is louder than my tv. I have kids and bedtime is super stressful, since the music very very loud, so I am asking you to consider the neighbors. The volume is an issue on our buildings bulletin board and the volume definitely exceed 42 decibels, which is the noise ordinance for music in nyc.
Any help would be appreciated.

Fancy atmosphere. It was not for me. However, the drinks are fantastic and quite strong. The staff are absolutely delightful to be around as well. One note is relatively the drinks can be pricy here.

Truly had no expectations of this place before coming. We were in the area for dinner and were in search of a happy hour.
In the end, this was a really nice option. Their happy hour menu isn't terribly extensive (I think 3 cocktails and a few beers?), but the environment was great. We were bummed when we tried to order the happy hour food that was really sold to us by a super energetic waitress and found that it was sold out. The outdoor seating on a nice night like we had was a really great change of pace for some other happy hour options in the area. And the space itself is fairly accessible without being overwhelming. Would absolutely come back here for pre-dinner drinks if in the area again. But would hope the very advertised food was available!

A go-to bar near McCarren. Love the happy hour, and also got to see live music there once. Really interesting cocktails and nice vibes.

I may be really old but this bar has THE WORST acoustics of any bar I’ve ever been to. I had to scream at my friend for him to hear me with only 12 people in the bar.

My daughter & I ordered the Frozen drinks they had for $8. It was Frozen Saki. Surprisingly very delicious. They had a Live Singer who had a lovely voice. On a beautiful Sunday Afternoon.
