This place is a gem in the neighborhood. The Pernil is incredible. The staff is super friendly. It's a regular on my downtown brooklyn lunch circuit.

Ordered lunch at school, wanted some beef stew. Plate was slapped together. Soggy tostones sitting in the stews broth. Meat wasn't cut consistently, very few forkable pieces. Moro was bland and you could tell what little flavor it had was coming from the stew broth. Beef empanada was loaded, but again underseasoned. Beef from the stew wasn't bad but no potatoes or carrots either. Won't be ordering again. Only redemption was the portion size, but that doesn't matter when the plate isn't tasty. No love. Hecho sin cariño.

I have to be very honest about my experience at this establishment.

It is clear that this business shows preference toward Hispanic customers, and if you are not, you will likely feel the difference in the way you are treated. On multiple occasions, I’ve noticed a lack of consistency in pricing—numbers seem to be made up on the spot, and what you are charged rarely feels fair or justified.

As an educator in the area, this location has been convenient for me to grab lunch since it’s close to the school where I teach. However, after today’s experience, I will be sure to stop coming here and I will let my fellow teachers know as well. The quality of service is not worth the inflated prices, and the lack of respect for customers is extremely disappointing.

A business that thrives within the community should value all patrons equally, yet here the focus seems to be on squeezing as much money as possible from those who walk through the door. I will stand firm on saving my dollars and supporting businesses that operate with transparency, integrity, and respect for everyone they serve. I strongly caution others to think twice before spending their hard-earned money here.

I liked the food but u also like the place inside. The service was nice, I liked the food, and I liked the nice music they had on. Empanada was BIG. I liked that it didn’t have onions inside. Instead it had potato. Super filling. Very good toogoodtogoorder!

They charged my husband $20 for two rolls with bacon, egg and cheese when it says 6.95 online and the phone was old.

Probably the worst burritto i have ever had just white rice pinto beans gravy and lettuce and tomato with chicken in a tortilla... should be called Rice and Bean wrap no pico de gallo no sour cream no jalapenos and no flavor at all lacked all the flavors that make a burritto a treat , not even hot sauce is offered for it. You want a salad good place but not for any mexican dishes...

The staff is very friendly and pleasant. The chicken soup with Pico de Gallo is very good and now the only thing I would eat here. I ordered the peril with yellow rice. The pernil was all fat and was not edible. There are pictures of the meal included. I spent over 20 dollars on a meal I could not eat. The yellow rice is the most bland yellow rice I have ever tasted. My co-workers agree and do not order the yellow rice. You can buy prepackaged yellow rice which will taste better. Also, the prices are never the same. I thought maybe at first it had to do with the daily specials, however you can order the same dish on the same day and it may be a different price.

There is an OLDER lady who serves the customer in a very bad way, super arrogant, they should have someone more qualified to serve the public...

I love this place. Food is always consistently fresh. My go-to order is the salmon and yellow rice, which tastes amazing. Food is a bit on the pricey side, but it's so worth it.
