For downtown, this place serves very tasty food. All varieties of food, a clean atmosphere, and friendly staff.Wheelchair accessibility: There are no steps and plenty of room to fit a chair in.

I ordered a Grilled Cheese Deluxe with bacon and tomato on a Kaiser Roll. The edges all around the Roll were BLACK. I opened the sandwich and found extremely burnt bacon, and the bread was mostly burnt black. The fries were not fresh. They had been cooked more than once and were an unusual shade of brown.I called the restaurant. A man said, "You complained before". I said, yes. I had ordered the same sandwich (above) and you delivered a Grilled Cheese sandwich on WHEAT bread, NO Bacon, NO tomatoes; the order was completely wrong. So, yes, I called to inform you that you sent the WRONG ORDER.The man I spoke with refused to issue a refund and said, "We will not deliver to you any more". That is absolutely true because, I will NEVER purchase anything from TIO PIO ever again. They assume that since the order is delivered, they can put any type of garbage in your bag. I am truly disappointed!

The beef empanadas slap. (fire) The beef stew Monday & Wednesday "special" is my favorite (only thing I order) however I do think the price is a little much. ($18) after taxes. Meal consists of rice beef stew and plantain plus beans if you want. My job orders from here so much they're like family so that's how I was introduced.

I ordered a Pork sandwich based on the Pork I saw and tasted. The sandwich (meat) I received was filled with fat and veins. It was NOT the meat I sampled and saw. BAIT and Switch! I threw the entire sandwich in the garbage.

The food was delicious , in terms of price tho , it’s on the more expensive side of things, almost $20 for a small soup , side order of Maduros and ONE very delicious beef empanada. Also they have this deal for 10% off when order online thru their website , however the website domain is down . Please fix or stop adverstising the deal . Customers is mix , they have funky deals and don’t always honor what they . They risk their employees being caught in cross of angry customers . I simply would not have pay had I not got my issue figure out. Only Spanish place I know where they charge you rice and beans as the two sides for my pernil, on top of that the short Spanish homie who serve me just straight up didn’t give me an crispy skin which is the best part of having pernil. Why you stingy with food ?

I bought a smoothie from here and it was like drinking straight almond milk was very disappointed especially after paying $8. My friend also got an empanada and was not happy with the chicken one. Mind you he asked for beef.

Simple egg and cheese. Cheese wasn't melted. This is cheap American cheese, no one wants a mouthful of firm low grade American cheese on their breakfast sandwich. Unacceptable in nyc.
