They are for the most part always packed and service tends to be very slow. My biggest issue. Not the greatest but not bad.. can't really complain. 👍

My family when to Topaze because we were in the mood for some Jamaican food. The place was empty except for the two women behind the counter. I ordered a large oxtail, which I thought came with the usual. Peas and rice, vegetables and maybe plantain or salad. This was the first Jamaican restaurant that I have been at that doesn’t give you vegetables. They give you a spoonful of salad in aluminum foil. The service was horrible. The two women, one young and one older both had nasty attitudes. The food was just okay. Don’t think I’ll be going back. I don’t pay for shitty service. Being pleasant and treating people with respect is not a disease.

Yesterday, 02.23.2025 we went here to celebrate a family event. Two people had to leave for another event and ordered their meals to go. The food was fantastic for everyone but one of those who had to leave. The order for Brown stew fish with rice and peas was more rice than fish. There were two fish heads and a small piece of tail with a whole heap of rice which was very disappointing. We've NEVER had any issues with food, presentation or service at Topaz and it was the first time everyone but the two people leaving had been to Topaz. A very disappointing experience with a fish we've commonly gotten at Topaz. Wish we could share the photo of the RICE dish packed that we got over what we paid for... 😕🙁☹️😢😥😓
I placed an order today via DoorDash. On the menu, it stated that Mondays they serve chicken soup so I placed my order and when I received it to my surprise, it was two beef soup. I do not eat beef so I called the restaurant to inform them and asked if I can bring back the soup to get something else. The lady that answered the phone was extremely rude and unapologetic. She stated that them serving chicken soup on Monday is not true and there is no menu that says that. I asked her to double check with their DoorDash menu because it indeed does say that . She then yells there is no manager here and starts speaking patois to someone saying that I was asking for a refund which I never did. I asked for compensation to give them back the soup and take something else instead for the same price. She then told me they do not do compensation and she does not know what to tell me because there’s nothing that they can do. The fact that there was no accountability and no apology is what aggravated me. And the fact that she had nerve to be rude about something they did wrong on their end is what was mind-boggling to me. It’s safe to say I will never go back here again
It's always well seasoned without the overwhelming peppery taste that you might find at some Caribbean food eateries.
Their prices have increased, but the portions are still good, so the value is still worth it.👍
If you happen to be served by a young man named Raheem, you are in great hands. He is very personable, polite and professional. A great addition to the staff there.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
They have both sit down and take out options, so their service is quite versatile. 👍
This evening of November 12th, 3 employees of the Staff impertinently chased me away...2 women and a man...they were talking so loudly on the bar that I had to leave. Really disrespectful
