I had an early start to my day so I have not ate the entire day. As I’ve moved there se no Caribbean restaurants in my neighborhood and I have been craving roti. After my lash appointment I went on google maps and this restaurant popped up.
Man, disappointed, disgusted and upset does not describe the experience I had here. I ordered a chicken roti, cheese roll and beef patty (the color of it is a red flag I should not have ignored). I was only able to take a few bites of the patty and that had to go in the garage: it was thick and greasy when beef patties should be golden and flaky. The cheese roll had no cheese and was also thick and greasy.
I dread tasting the roti because of the other items tasting disgusting, but fingers crossed. Three stars for service because the cashier was sweet, patient and polite. The short lady with the glasses (possibly an owner) was curt and rude. She also looked over the shoulder of the server to ensure that she gave “acceptable” servings. I cannot imagine how she treats the staff. A waste of $30 but at least I know not to patron that business again. If Sybil’s was closer, this would not have happened. 🥲
Update: the chicken for my roti was pink and not seasoned well. The buss up shot was greasy and had a play dough like texture. The only thing that was good was the dhal puri skin. It was light and had a nice tease of a spice to it which was appreciated. Overall, this establishment is unorganized (I also don’t get the concept of playing immensely loud music randomly), does not use quality ingredients (you can taste it) and as they are open 24 hours seems like a money grab that is an insult to quality and fresh Caribbean food.

I hate everything here. And dey oxtail don’t taste or smell good it smell like pepper pot and the seasonings are terrible and worst of all dey rice is soggy. When I went to the top counter to ask a question the lady walk away attitude STANK I tell u and mind u I’ve been coming to buy bread fa years.

Ordered a beef patty here and oh my God it was absolutely horrible. Wasn’t even warmed up proper, had no flavor. asked her for two pieces of bread she gave me eight. she overcharges by a lot not even worth it. The place itself has nice decor and it’s clean but the food is trashhh. betting into my beef patty, and for some reason found black pieces of stuff in it 🤮🤮🤮???!!! zero flavor and was not worth it,would not go back here, was expecting so much more better since the place itself looked good. this honestly makes me wonder what the other food taste Like.Is it usually this bad 🤮???!!

I never been inside the restaurant but everytime I order off Postmates or DoorDash, the food is always great in my opinion. It’s very savory and not a lot going on with the different foods. My favorite so far is the jerk chicken and stew chicken roti.

The old lady working March 27 2025 night shift had a terrible attitude and proceeded to pass me stale bread while ignoring me while trying to order resulting in me moving to the back of the line after being in front.I love the place but she’s seems to have single-handedly ruined the vibe with her lack of respect and decency towards customers.

I've been going here for years now, and the atmosphere, customer service and food has been excellent each time. There's a reason why the restaurant is beloved and still holding on after all this time.They care and they pray over the food and it more than shows. The savory and sweet pastry selection is very good, and the spice balances are perfect. They also have some of the best black pudding that I've tasted in a while. Highly, highly recommended.

This shop has no respect to people or the neighbours . Playing super loud music during the middle of night, barbecuing, and making toxic smoke on the sidewalk everyday. This is extremely disrespectful for pedestrians and I am deeply concern with everyone’s safety who lives close by. I will give them as much bad review as I can. This shop makes me feel greatly disgusted.
