Kept hearing about this place. Came from LES, no reason to travel to Brooklyn for food at Manhattan prices and not even half the quality. Cocktails were pretty good, but didn’t like the bartender. Pretty pushy white dude acting like the place is a lot more than it is.

I really want to like this place, but i feel like every time Ive gone in the past few months either the hours are changed, or they’re understaffed, or they forgot to turn the espresso maker on. This last time we walked in wanting to have some coffee. I opted for still water not having the presence of mind to ask for tap instead. Then they let us know their espresso machine was down after opening the water. We paid for an $8 bottle of water and left. I wouldn’t really care about any of these things on their own but i would say more often than not, Ive had a weird experience here. ? plenty of other good options nearby.

The food is incredible. The atmosphere and service are superb. You must try the avocado and truffle sushi, and the cider is amazing. And deserts ❤️

I last visited Trad Room about a year ago and loved it, so I was really excited to go back. The host and my server and food runners were great, but I'm not sure something felt really off. Feels like its turning into a gentrified spot, I would steer clear

Not sure what happened here. New bartender made me uncomfortable. Usually sit at a table but came a few weeks ago and decided to be at the bar this time. Not sure his name but bartender with the handlebar mustache made this experience feel like my neighborhood spot was in midtown. Liked the Asian bartender a lot better.
The staff here was awesome and kind. Food was great. Happy hour deals were awesome and it’s cool that the happy hour goes until 7pm. I will 100% be back. Overall just good energy and laid-back quality spot. We sat outside on their back patio.

This place is a gem and imm not exaggerating. Food is delicious, cocktails are tasty and the people working here is super nice. Atmosphere is another thing that i like about this place. Really good sushi and you should try the sides as well.
The food is very tasteful, however, the portions make me feel like maybe I shld have eaten before I had dinner there. To me, everything felt small especially the appetizers. We ordered a cucumber salad with chili oil for $9 and it looked like it was only half a cucumber ? that was sliced up. We ordered the Agedashi tofu for $12 and it was 4 tiny cubes of tofu.The sushi is very tasty but again, you only get a few pieces for what you pay. Skip the cocktails. Not only are they overpriced but they have too much sugar. I ordered the momiji and it tasted like it barely had any mezcal or gin in it.Even the entre dishes felt small. My friends had the salmon bowl and the wagyu udon (which are in the pics below) and they loved it but they did complain about the size. I shared the branzino for 2. That came with plenty of vegetables for 2 but the actual fish is small and incredibly boney.The service was veerryyyyyy slooowww and we came on a Monday. It was packed. I had to ask 3 times for a my mezcal pour while the rest of the table received their drinks. The waiter was super nice, he was just over seated it felt like.Overall, the food was delicious, just small portions.
