"A neighborhood bar woth a whiskry proboem". The tagline fits. Early on a Saturday... just what I wanted. Classic Willie on the speakers and classic Manhattans and Old Fashions flowing. (Music was actually a fun electic mix that went with the relaxed early Sat night vibe, not just Willie and his cohort and all soets of drinks available.)

I can not get enough of this place. Mike, the owner, is a wealth of conversation and whiskey knowledge when he is there but everyone working there knows their stuff. So much whiskey and incredible cocktails to choose from and only a couple of blocks from the train.

I never get tired of the drinks, the conversations, and the crew. An oasis of a bar in a sea of bars doing too much or too little.

Absolutely fantastic experience! The patrons were very friendly and outgoing, and the owners were even more so. We weren't exactly sure what we wanted, but they curated a couple custom flights that were fantastic and told us all about them after we'd had the chance to try them. It's a great spot for a date (if you're both into whiskey), or a good hang with friends. And the prices are very fair.

Looking forward to returning!

Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible entrance and accessible restroom (although it's in the back and can be a little tough to navigate to when it's crowded).

Best whiskey bar in NYC. Not “in Brooklyn”, in New York.

Love this bar! Lovely intimate dark-ish delightful little Brooklyn "hole in the wall" in size but not in quality. Not a huge whiskey expert or staunch lover by any means but can greatly appreciate a wonderful hot toddy in the Fall and Winter and Travel Bar and deliver that excellently among many other amazing cocktails. Have truly never had a poor or mediocre drink there!
When I lived in Carroll Gardens this spot was my 'special treat' spot to go solo, sit at the stools and people watch and drink an ever-so-tasty $$$ but quality beverage.
One of the bar tenders is super not friendly but they still make excellent drinks so it didn't irk me too much. An older gentleman perhaps the owner once had a flaming tasting and was very passionate, sweet, and fun to chat with.
It's never too crowded every time I've been and they always play excellent music like Depeche Mode/Cure type vibes and I love that.
Highly recommend! A+

Whiskey lovers look no further! Here, you will find some of the most unique bottles you will ever come across. The variety that exists here is hard to come by and the service is absolutely incredible. As any whiskey lover knows, the history behind each bottle, and each brand, is often times as interesting as what you are drinking, and as best put by my server, "We don't sell whiskey, we sell stories." Love it! Highly recommend.

The bartender, Annie is incredible. She’s so friendly, gave local recommendations for things nearby, and the drinks were amazing. Such a wide variety of drinks. Service is top notch and can’t wait to come back.
