I've been here twice and it's a really special place! It's a great mix of omakase style sushi pieces and tasting menu dishes. Always very unique and different dishes and such a fun environment. Luis is so kind and makes sure it's special, personalized experience every time. A perfect place to celebrate a special event and have some really memorable bites!

The clam consommé was rich, buttery, and packed with umami – my personal favorite. The torched scallop had the perfect balance of smoky sweetness, and the A5 Wagyu with mushrooms was melt-in-your-mouth delicious.
Other highlights included the smokey king salmon, and the refreshing kampachi with basil jelly. Each course was inventive and beautifully presented, making for an unforgettable dining experience. If you’re looking for a creative, not-so-traditional Japanese omakase, U Omakase is a must-try!

Our omakase experience was amazing. Every dish was beautifully presented and ridiculously delicious. The staff were very friendly and took the time to explain the ingredients involved in each of the 16 dishes. The decor was beautiful and the ambiance was relaxed and fun.
Amazing food! Be prepare to eat a lot, this is not an omakase where you are going to walk away hungry. Very tasty and great price. I will definitely come back! I also love a speak easy atmosphere

I’ve been to many omakase spots in NYC and this one is definitely one of the best. It’s not traditional by any means but the flavors and techniques made each course exciting! For the experience, the price was right and the chef is super kind. My only critique would be to commit to the fusion and do something creative with the nigiri pieces too. I would highly recommend!

Everything was incredible, from the unique dishes, to the crew and service and to the lovely decor. Amazing experience for birthdays, anniversaries or just a nicer dinner. I love that some of the dishes had a fusion spin to them. Absolutely will be coming back!
