Your pal waited 25 minutes to replenish his pint and then, to add insult to injury, he was grossly overcharged when the bill arrived. Perhaps the service was deliberately slow, given the smug, insouciant, and charlatan smile of the very rude bartender upon being given the check presenter. Your pal truly has no idea what he might have done to earn her inexplicable umbrage. Your pal does tend to be polite. Perhaps the bartender objected to the cashmere watch cap that my ex-wife gave me and that I still don every so often to remind myself of how I obliterated my personal life? Well, that's between me and the former missus. What do YOU know about it? Did my ex call this bar and warn them about your pal? I really don't know. But your pal felt as welcome here as a Grand Wizard during Black History Month. And let your pal be clear: he loves Black people. He's that rare white dude with more than one Black friend. Talk about failing to read the room or, in this case, your customer. They have attempted to "liven up" the place with a sad lonely DJ on the weekend, the removal of tables in the back, and bad and entirely unsubtle lighting. If you're considering throwing yourself off a bridge, but you haven't quite decided whether to go through with it, well then this is the bar for you! Nobody here seems happy. And the general vibe here is twelfth circle of hell. I will never go here again.

We enjoy it here! Music is good, the drinks are good and the overall scene is super chill. Cool art on the walls and they burn incense. They offer a happy hour! The spot doesn't offer food but, you can bring your own! Also, it seems that every other Thursday a vendor comes in to sell food and I hear it's delicious! Fun for a small group of friends to meetup.Only critical feedback I have is that it can get really really warm in the establishment. So wear layers you can take off or wear maybe a tee-shirt or tank top. I usually run cold and was sweltering.Lastly, not sure why reviewers are saying this is in BedStuy. This is Crown Heights. Right off the Franklin Ave 2/3/4/5.

This spot is now called Shoes! Love the bartender Cici ? and the fact you can bring outside food in. I went on Trivia Wednesday, which ironically was hosted by a fraternity brother, and with no special treatment, me & Cici tied for the win! ??

Chill atmosphere, super friendly bartender. Only issue was price. My friends and I got 6 draft beers (normal beers, nothing fancy), which ended up being almost $70 before tip. I asked if the bill was correct and they said it was. Seems pretty steep for what we got, especially since this was 5pm and I thought they were doing Happy Hour.
