The chef, Malcolm was wonderful to begin with. We ordered taiwanese beef noodle soup as well as the spicy duck wings as an appetizer. We also got the Shirley Temple to drink, and all the parts of the meal were absolutely wonderful. We stumbled upon this place by accident and will definitely be coming back whenever in town. The chef along with the waiter were super welcoming and even spent time talking with us.
the owner malcolm puts so much care and heart into all of the dishes. the food is all from scratch, but very reliable and consistent. the portions are healthy but not overwhelming. the dining room is comfortable and not overwhelming. such a delightful neighbourhood spot and well worth the trek to dine at. the food stays so good after multiple visits. the day after i dine here i crave it again! highly recommend. so many vegan and vegetarian and gluten free options! food for everyone...
The ramen noodle with confit chicken was so ORIGINAL despite the name of the place. Confit chicken is rarely on a menu and this one was particularly delicious. The flavors were so rich and complex. I will return and it is going to be hard to order anything else as I keep thinking how good and restorative is this dish.
The tofu appetizer was also outstanding; so delicate. The light crunch of the crust and the silkiness were delightful. Can’t wait to go back!
