Please update your hours in google, webpage and social media. It is no longer what it says it is. I want to be able to know when I can really visit.
Great tasting! Bartender was very knowledgeable. Very cool place- Can’t wait to go back
I love this place! It’s a redhook gem with a beautiful space and such tasty cocktails. Rina the bartender is a hoot, I look forward to seeing her anytime I come!!
O so awesome destination and worth the trip.

Finally visited after seeing the bottles in Brooklyn bars. The drinks were great. I’m not a big whiskey drinker but the American whiskey was so sweet and smooth. The tour was definitely worth it. It’s $20 and you get $10 off a bottle. The tasting room was very nice and the staff was incredibly friendly. I recommend their daiquiri made with their rum.
Still a great place to come on a Sunday. Relaxing place for a drink.
Nice distillery, the people were friendly and the drinks were really good ??!!! We booked the tour and Brooks was amazing!! Check them out if you visit Brooklyn.
We’ve come here twice so far and have loved it both times! The cocktails are delicious, the people working the tasting room are super friendly (shoutout to Brooks and Jonathan!), and it overall has a chill vibe. Definitely make sure to do a tour if you can, too!

Really great distillery. I got the tour (20$ at the time of writing, includes 10$ off any bottle purchase). Covid time being what it is, I was alone on the tour, and got to ask the very patient dude showing me around all my d*** questions. He was really informative and chill. There were some tastings as we went through, and the bartender even gave me a bit of the eggnog they had temporarily (Christmas time and all that). Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere is very cozy, more like someone's house than a bar. The rye here is amazing. The bourbon probably is too, but I just don't like bourbon in general. I ended up getting a bottle of the Campfire, and the Midnight train to Red Hook cocktail which was ho early one of my favorite cocktails ever. Highly recommend!
Great service. Tasting menu is awesome. My favorites are the Bourbon and Empire Rye. We came late on a Tuesday and were the only ones tasting. We were very warmly welcomed
By far my favorite whiskey distillery- I love that we can actually go there and have flights and speciality cocktails created to highlight these excellent spirits! Nick, the bar manager makes phenomenal, inventive cocktails that showcase the best of Van Brunt and change regularly so there's always something new to try. They also have local beer and wine. While they don't have “food” they do have some great snacks (cheez-itz Bjorn corn, local chocolate) available. The rustic ambiance is relaxed with barrels seats and tables, and tower propane heaters for every table when needed. This is one of my favorite places to come with friends on a Sunday afternoon. A final plus- the great eateries in the neighborhood where you can go before or after a visit to Van Brunt and get delicious food of just about any genre.
Quality sprits, oddly blended for in-house cocktails. Even with Covid restrictions, a gathering with friends on the patio in February was delightful. Will be back!
We went on Easter Sunday and a reservation wasn't needed. We were the only people there for almost an hour and then another party arrived. It's great for tasting flights of whiskey/bourbon/rye and enjoying some outdoor relaxing. The food options are mostly snacks, so don't expect to fill up on food.
