The other complaint is that every time I’m there, which is usually everyday, a homeless guy comes in be-tween 3 and 4 and locks himself in the rest room for up to a half hour and does God know what.

I love this place! Great pastries and lots of space. The only issue I have is that there's a guy that works there who, whenever I order a pastry, will go out of his way to get me the smallest one. He'll literally reach for the closest one, and if it's larger than a smaller one, he'll pivot. I'm not a fan of that kind of lousy service. Everything else is great!
Recently moved to this block and was excited to have a coffee shop close by - our last coffee shop near us in fort greene was a favorite, we went everyday, despite our budget, and were good friends with the staff. I have to say, the staff here are always pretty unfriendly and short with me despite me trying to be nice, and tipping etc. Not a fun way to start the day. Not sure why they take such offense but I always feel extremely unwelcome. I will say they are insanely efficient. Its always busy and packed with people on their laptops, youd think it was a wework. Missing all my previous neighborhood coffee shops and may shop around for a different spot to go to in the neighborhood.
