Perfect spot for a date. Casual, friendly service. Food took longer than expected considering it wasn't busy. It was very good so it was worth the wait!
Great location. Food was not great. Artichoke dip came half cold. Bad service.
Served cold pasta. Drinks were not well made.
Fried chicken was pretty good but the steak and burgers are better!!
Great location but the food is a miss!
Best lobster roll in the city. The perfect casual date spot. Went twice in one week!
Having had breakfast there numerous times, I would say Walter's is a decent and dependable place. My dining experience was amazing: the food was rich reinterpretations of classic favorites, the service was courteous and attentive, and the plating was exquisite. The rosemary roast chicken with mashed potatoes felt like home, if home had a Michelin-starred chef with CIA training. I really enjoyed the smoked trout toast and the rigatoni with peas and mint, which tasted like it was straight from a garden. Even though I had been full since the third dish of the five-plate family-style lunch, I still ate the chocolate pot with salt because it was so delicious.
Great atmosphere, but limited menu for vegetarians.
I visited years ago up through a few times recently, and they have been consistently courteous with high-quality food. A major highlight is their classic Fried Chicken & Waffles.

I’m leaving this review to bring attention to management. We truly love Walter’s; it’s our go-to spot, and we’ve celebrated so many milestones there, finding comfort in its consistent quality. However, we were disappointed with our meal last night. We’ve always loved your signature French fries—it’s one of the highlights for us. But for the first time in over two years of being loyal customers, we were served a completely different style of fries. It was disappointing, to say the least. If this is a permanent menu change, we’re afraid we might not remain regulars.

The menu is very limited, especially if you're dining with people who have certain food restrictions.
This is more of a "burger and fries"/ "meat and potatoes" kind of establishment; nothing wrong but nothing to rave over!
Walter’s was described as an upscale casual eaterie & bar with a good wine selection. We came for pre-dinner drinks & appetizers. We liked the vibe & the outdoor seating but the wine selection was limited & focuses on second tier brands that miss the mark. Appetizers were just OK.

A classic. The balled of the two walter foods was sung throughout the fast, gentrified hollows along the g line. The big walter foods in the north and the small Walter's in the south, which is kinda analogous to the kingdoms of arnor and gondor iffn, you are a tolkien head. Arnor succumbed to the euro trash hordes. However, gondor still stands and has a decent raw bar and good daily specials. Tip your servers!
