Having had breakfast there numerous times, I would say Walter's is a decent and dependable place. My dining experience was amazing: the food was rich reinterpretations of classic favorites, the service was courteous and attentive, and the plating was exquisite. The rosemary roast chicken with mashed potatoes felt like home, if home had a Michelin-starred chef with CIA training. I really enjoyed the smoked trout toast and the rigatoni with peas and mint, which tasted like...
I visited years ago up through a few times recently, and they have been consistently courteous with high-quality food. A major highlight is their classic Fried Chicken & Waffles.
Walter’s was described as an upscale casual eaterie & bar with a good wine selection. We came for pre-dinner drinks & appetizers. We liked the vibe & the outdoor seating but the wine selection was limited & focuses on second tier brands that miss the mark. Appetizers were just OK.
