I was in the neighborhood and stumbled upon a sign for beef ball noodles soup in front of a sushi restaurant?? Sure, why not??

Ordered the A1  (beef balls, tripes, beef stew) & A2 (beef balls & tripes) - Tripes were okay - not very tender. Beef stew was a bit more tender. The Beef Balls !! Those were the stars! Perfectly beefy and bouncy!  - you can buy them frozen to-go too!

The noodles texture was great, not soggy at all (similar to Pho, but a bit wider) the soup was piping hot! They also offer complimentary refill on soup / noodles.

For $10 -$12 for a hot bowl of noodles - it's very reasonable. Would definitely be back!

My wife and I love the meat balls and the beef noodle soup here. It’s really hard to get meat ball like this these days! Fair price for such high quality meat balls. We even have the pork and meat balls in our freezer! I you love noodle soup, then you should try this place!

We went to this restaurant with the recommendation from a friend. It's a Japanese sushi and a Chinese beef noodle restaurant. That in itself already should've been a red flag. We went for the beef noodle and the flavoring was just not for my taste palette.

The atmosphere was poor, the lights were dimly lit as they were trying to save on electricity or something. They were trying to operate it as a family business. It just felt like a poorly run business that I will not be visiting again.

I tried it after I saw someone recommended online. The beef soup was not tasty enough and the roast chicken was fried instead of roasted.i do not recommend

I came in on a monday at midday for lunch, place was about 80% capacity with only 1 wait staff. I understand being packed but I waited for 3 minutes standing at the door before being led to a table to sit (there were still a few tables empty). Another 2 minutes before a ChaoShan noodles menu was placed in front of me. Another 5 minutes after for the waitress to come and ask if I was ready to order. Where is my drink? Had to tell it to her instead of being asked, then told her what I wanted to order from the sushi menu instead of the noodle menu. Was told she is not very familiar with that menu. I get this place is being shared by two businesses, but being the only waitstaff surely you wouldn’t be so selfish as to only know your own menu in the whole place?
I ordered the lunch special 3 rolls. Very easy concept to learn, it says any three roll, comes with soup or salad. She left right after I said that combo. I called her back and said I can pick my rolls right? She said no it’s listed here that its set already and pointed to another part of the menu. So I read the combo set and it says clearly ANY. Ok, then I place my 3 rolls, and she runs off before I can say whether I want the soup or accompanying salad. So I wait, get it in front of me, then tell her she missed my soup. Get it, and by this point I’m assuming its the owners’ kid, just crawls up to my table, leans against it, then slides the soy sauce bottle across the table before I could ask for it, all while mumbling under his breath. This service is unacceptable. I can here for SUSHI from WASABI SUSHI, not noodle shop. I get maybe all staff here is from the noodle part, but you are still getting paid. Act the part. Food was also barely passable, no way you can mess up rolling up food with rice on seaweed paper, while portion size was small to the point you would believe they were taking it out of their paycheck directly or something. Unbelievable. And I used to have fond memories of this place. Never coming again. Soup also tasted weird.

Found a metal wire in a roll. It could have ended up critical. This is unacceptable, be careful!!!

The restaurant has been co-occupied with different cuisine, the Chao Shan Noodle Shop. The noodles are pretty good. The meatballs are the best, so tender. And the price is reasonable. Gladly it is in the neighborhood.

You called me to ask if there was beef. You told me that there was beef. Now you say there is only beef. You also asked me to go to the supermarket to buy it. Are you trying to trick me on the phone? What store == never come back

I love sushi , and went to many places in NYC. This place is one of the best. Tasty rolls, sushi and sashimi. Amazing fried shrimp rice. Good portions. They are one of the few places that put a whole shrimp in rolls. To compare, places like chikurin and mitoushi put half or even a quarter of shrimp and tiny pieces of salmon inside rolls. Its a small family run business and they are doing a great job. Also, they don't add MSG, which i'm allergic to. To compare, Osaka Fusion on 86street puts additives and msg. 3 times we ate there and 3 times i felt awful.
