First time here. Found it on the Infatuation. We were not disappointed. This is a neighborhood Japanese restaurant run by Japanese people. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. The service was great. Plain decor, but pleasant atmosphere. I had a sashimi bento box. A good portion of fresh sashimi for lunch along with salad, miso soup, spring roll, burdock. $24.50. My wife had two rolls. Very happy with everything. Will go back.

went here to celebrate my friend’s going away. Ordered the lunch special sashimi bento box and it was just delicious. Very generous portion I must say. The fish tasted fresh. service was great. 👍

Wasan has wonderful and authentic food. Their lunch bentos are an amazing deal and come with a great variety of dishes. It’s the restaurant we go to the most in the neighborhood!
Food was pretty good. Service was extremely slow which would not have mattered so much, but we were two of three people in the restaurant. Empty bowls sat in front of me for over 45 minutes even though waiter came back several times to take another order for our food, bring that order, and take my friend’s food away (while again, my clearly finished bowls stayed in front of me). Food was tasty and the set meals are good price. Service was just quite poor which was a shame. I don’t not recommend Wasan, but I don’t think I’ll be back.

Ordered the chicken curry cutlet based on the pictures shown. What arrived was bland rice with what looked like five dehydrated chicfila nuggets on top. Waste of $16; wouldn't have ordered that if I had known...inedible.
A simple place. I always have the ramen or noodles and the warm plum wine. Street parking but good luck.

I got a rice ball, bro gave me an inedible ball of rice he plucked from the microwave and a cooked ball of tuna clearly from a can. It was 4.90. I got scammed. I didn’t eat anything else the whole thing fell apart. What a flavorless disappointment

Great food and great service. Inside is a little dark, but not terrible.

Got the spicy tune and fried oyster rice balls. They were not compact and literally fell apart when picking it up, the fish tasted weird/soggy like it came out of a can but they didn't drain it. Seasoning for the onigiri was not distributed evenly. Very disappointing and overpriced given the tragic quality

The macha pudding served at NYCC2025 was EXCELLENT!!! Now I have to try the restaurants. If you go, try the pudding - light, little, refreshing and delicious!!!

We dined in for dinner and had an amazing meal. The salmon sashimi and spicy ikura rice bowl was so fresh the fish melted in my mouth and my partner loved the tonkotsu ramen! Angelo was a great server and everyone working was very kind as well. Can't believe we haven't been here before, but we'll definitely be back.

Disappointing Experience
I was disappointed with my recent order from the curry outpost connected to the restaurant. I paid $16 for the chicken cutlet curry and was shocked by the portion size—it filled only half of the container. In addition, the chicken wasn't even a chicken cutlet, which was a big letdown. A warning to others to check the order before going home…
The food was delicious and the service was excellent! They had many vegetarian and vegan options that were clearly marked. Highly recommended eating here!
